@@BryansBones okay let me put it this way, for example we have some plague and it is easily curable but I decide to kill everyone infected, it would be against protagonist goals but technically would solve the problem in a worse way. The original comment author refers here to the interpretation of it being a game abandoned by humans but still holding copies of their personalities in character with Caine trying to do his job, which would work for regular humans, like you login and have brand new procedural story, but with no humans he just works like a badly trained neural network, he sees humans want exit out of here, so he creates a door with a sign exit but doesn't understand what should be on the other side. I think this thing in storytelling is called antihero, who is not particularly evil but stands in a way of the protagonist (very simplified, go check Tale Foundry video going into much more detail)

Antagonists are meant to oppose the protagonist in terms of goals; that doesn’t make all antagonists evil. For example, two characters in a competition - whoever takes the narrative spotlight is the protagonist while the other becomes the antagonist. Villains, on the other hand, think and act on malicious intent, which makes them a type of antagonist for the protagonist to oppose.

The funny thing about Jax in ep 2, is that it divided the fans who loved him. And yet the creator Goosework freaking confirmed WEEKS before the ep was that there is nothing heroic about Jax and that he is a prick 😂 I think half of those fans were so mad just because their headcanons about him being a lovable prankster were not true. good thing I have been keeping up with Goosework’s answers on tumblr just to be a bit ready to expect what can happen. I always loved Jax since the pilot and I still do after this episode. I now see him as a interesting antagonist and I’m curious to see what other crazy chaotic things he may do 😆 As for gummygoo, you may possibly be right. He may possibly come back but with no memories of Pomni 🤔

Well, 2 episodes down and 6 more to go. For the next 2 episodes, the crew will explore a haunted mansion in one episode and work at a fast food restaurant in another. And recently, Gooseworx (the show's director) implied that the cast might encounter dark versions of themselves in Episode 5. Edit: Also, Goose said that Episode 3 might be the darkest episode in the series. Most likely the Haunted Mansion episode.

You should watch Murder Drones and MetaRunner. They are other shows made by Glitch and they have multiple episodes out for a while. MetaRunner is a 3 season series about a girl in a world built upon gaming who can't remember who she is and she has the ability to go into games. Murder Drones is just cute robots in a apocalyptic world and mixes horror with comedy (the lore is almost as complicated as FNAF)

I felt so bad for GummiGoo. A character that Pomni could actually have a friend in this universe. I was very upset when Caine did that to GummiGoo, Caines always testing new ai. How come he couldnt make it where he could make a ai for GummiGoo so Caine could identify from apart of a human being. Surely he couldve done something. The Masks always seem to get treated so bad in both the first and second epsiode. Jax being a jerk isnt helping either. Note, if you do check Glitches other shows, I would check out Meta Runners and then Murder Drones. It seems like most people either forgotten about Meta Runner, or wasnt there when Meta Runner first aired.
