Caine, Bubble, and the mannequin NPCs are all canonically AI in the game. The rest of the cast are humans who got put into the digital circus. So Kinger is the oldest human in the circus, but Caine has been there since the start since he is part of the game.

I do feel weird to not figure out Caine's an AI, because he does play as the narrator, host, EULA agreement, and quest giver. Prefer lore being expositioned in the show itself, and not from a tweet, because mainly storytelling remains in the book itself, not on an author's note.

i think it was less caine lying about there being an exit but he knew how much they all wanted an exit and tried to make one but couldnt figure out what to put on the other side and left it unfinished which lead into the void.

@@nonimport-antewoah I hadn’t even thought that he might have seen the offices, but VR sets like the HTC vive have built in cameras so he totally could have “seen” parts of the office that he turned into the “exit”

​@@nonimport-anteit's common in a few games for devs to have a test room, and usually use their own offices or a copy of their end room. So, if Caine has access to all the assets, he could be building off of that.

One thing with this animation, that I've grown to love after noticing, is how expressive and fidgety the eyes are. Even the subtle, and almost imperceptible flittering you see in the humanoid eyes (mostly when a character is not moving), helps better sell the idea that you are watching a character processing what is being heard and seen, and not just watching a model made in a computer program. Granted, that might not apply too much to Kinger, it seems, but considering his mental state, might be best to consider him an exemption. A good tip I think every up and coming animator should follow, in order to make their characters seem like they have more life to them, is to do it through the eyes.

There is no exit, as far as we can tell currently. Caine made an "exit" because he thought it would be nice for them, but it doesnt actually go anywhere because it can't.

The character on the X door is not Kinger. Kinger is a wight king and the X door character is a black queen who probably abstracted. That also explains why Kirnger's room have X in 1 shot and then don't on the other cause the first isn't his at all.
