well...we don't know the year this is taking place, all we know is it must be around 2023...considering Pomni was born in 1998 and is 25 at the time she enters and Jax is 22 and born in 2001, so likely entered the circus in the same year as Pomni@@ma.2089

I know it’s not really anything super mind blowing, but I really like how this show has a cartoony 3D look that kinda fits in with the 2.5D aesthetic/technique, but still uses a smoother frame rate while still accomplishing various 2.5D visual tricks like swapping out parts of a character model or (hypothetically) the whole model just to get a certain animation look, all while not completely relying on using the stop-motion-y low frame rate that tends to be used in stylized CGI (not saying the low frame rate is bad or anything like that! I actually love the low frame rate look! It adds to the creativity and visual style! But as with anything, you don’t need to use low frame rates if you don’t want to, and projects like TADC and The Mitchells vs. the Machines show that you can still achieve cartoony looks and movements, while still using higher frame rates. Heck, one of the pioneers of the 2.5D look, Spider-Verse, used the frame rate as a storytelling tool, and actually had different elements of a scene be animated in different frame rates, within the same scene! )

Forgot you stopped doing only anime. If you like the weirdness and glitchyness of this show, SMG4 is also a pretty good pick for Glitch, just a very long running series like Fanily Guy though. Also, did you react to Murder Drones yet? Another good Glitch production, Sunset Paradise and Meta Runner are also good Glitch projects.

@@quirkyquotareacts Murder Drones is another animation by glitch and currently is more popular than digital circus but digital is growing at a massive speed so it could overtake murder drones if season 1 gets enough funding. BTW if you do watch murder drones u got to listen to stuff carefully or you'll end up getting lost in the DEEP plot and mystery, murder drones animation is also circumstantially better than digital simply bc the environment is different requiring more effects and ambience.

But if we’re comparing pilots, I’ve seen more ppl respond favorably to Digital Circus and react to it over Murder Drones’ pilot. Popularity wise it has the leg up over MD’s pilot. I agree the environment is nice in MD, but quality doesn’t rely on having more effects and ambiance. Quality relies on a good story, an environment with good ambiance, good animation, etc. Both shows have it (I’m assuming MD has it cus I dropped it a few episodes in). Obviously it’s down to taste. Saying one has higher quality is unfair when one doesn’t have as much yet, and both are different in terms of plot and character. I could name a ton of MD flaws, but like I said, it’s unfair to do so. Comparing them now can’t be done.

@@ma.2089 I just typed for a good 5 min and accidently clicked off sooo shortened version. 1. MD animation is just factually better 2. You can obviously tell I mean visual quality 3. The current story of MD far exceeds TMDC in almost every way, it just simply has more to offer(you would know this is u hadn't dropped the show) 4. Regardless of what you think we can compare the two even though MD has been out longer 5. MD is more popular regardless of how you put it, the fact it has a season and TADC only has a pilot doesn't change a thing. Even the MD has vastly more views though I don't doubt it could get to that lvl. 6. So as far as I'm concerned the evidence leads to Murder Drones being higher quality.

Not sure what you’re on, but Digital Circus’ is far more expressive and animated compared to Murder Drones. MD’s is intentional tho, they’re literally robots and shouldn’t be as animated as digital creations. The people who’ve worked on the show have spoken about how insane the rigs are for Digital Circus for a reason. 2) “you can obviously tell I mean visual quality”. No, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m not you. I don’t share your aesthetic tastes. You’re comparing a story that needs a destroyed and artificial world versus a cutesy digital world in the 90’s-2000’s style. 3) did it ever occur to you why I dropped it? I dropped the show cus I didn’t like the story. So no the plot doesn’t exceed TDC. For one, this is a pilot so there’s less to pick apart compared to MD. But going off only the pilot, TDC beats MD for me. I had to push myself to continue, which a lot of MD reaction ppl have admitted to as well. As for MD’s issues, Plot is all over the place with plot twists happening every episode. Character and the status quo was vastly different every episode. Poor build up. it suffers from the same issue Helluva Boss has, but even worse. You’re not going to get what’s going on without pausing to stare at backgrounds. It has a stupid romance side plot. Annoying cast. The thing is, I don’t want to waste my time waiting for the story to get good and make sense. That’s why I dropped it. 4) We can’t compare the two because we know the pros and flaws of MD more than we do the pros and flaws of TDC. Cuz just going off the pilot, TDC beats it. But we can’t give a proper comparison since the show could get worse than MD’s. Tho, MD’s started off poorly to begin with. Where the heck did Uzi’s want to kill humans go?? Lol 5) No it DOES change a thing cuz a show is going to gain more of an audience than a pilot. One has more to offer and TIME to gather said audience. Plus, TDC’s pilot will introduce ppl to MD and vice versa. But I think it has to be mentioned that I’ve seen a lot of ppl say they liked TDC and disliked MD. The audiences are clearly different too. 6) you can have your opinions but it doesn’t mean you’re objectively right when it comes to quality. Especially since your definition of quality differs from what I consider quality.
