The amazing journey of the Matis people to the city | SLICE

Once a year, somewhere in Brazil, an olympic flame is lit, announcing the opening of the " Indigenous Games ", the Indian games. The participants represent forty or fifty of the more than two hundred different peoples living in the country. They don't have the same backgrounds or the same cultures. Each group brings with it, its own sports and traditional games.
In the spirit of the Indians who created them, the Amazon Games are an opportunity to come together, affirm one's identity, and claim one's place in Brazilian society. For the men and women who make the journey every year, it's primarily a great adventure.

Airport food: You can eat it but, it tastes like sh*t 😂 Thats how I feel travelling back from the East to the Western' world. Not only the food but the pace of life, the culture, the expectations. Obviously, its not all sweetness and light in the East but even the simplest food is better...somehow. 🤔 These people remind me of my frtiends from Papua. The facial ornaments. Their calmness

Let them live in peace we don't need to bring modern society into their world we just bring sadness to them malaria and diseases I mean yes they should have a couple doctors in every village for Reno to be treated for malaria I think they should have a doctor come at least twice a week for that but too much traffic causes too many problems I think they should be able to get the health care that they need but I also think that they shouldn't Luther knowledge of the natural medicines that they know so I don't think we should change everything that they do and their daily lives because they would lived thousands of years without destroying the forest modern society can learn a thing or two from these people and I think future Generations maybe we will be able to save the rainforest and its natural resources because they only take what they need from the rainforest and leave some for future Generations they know how to live off the land and replant trees and sculpture the beautiful Forest and live with nature instead of destroying it
