So they're not vacuum sealed, like the original glass flasks, and double-walled metal equivalents, interesting ! I imagine maybe the heated air in the double wall will condense and create a bit of a vacuum compared to outside pressure, but still nowhere near the aforementioned other flasks.

Forever sealed at whatever the ambient air pressure was in the moment :-) In this case a vacuum wouldn't be of any value because they are fusing the inner and outer glass layers together rather than using a gasket to keep them separate. This allows heat to conduct which is inefficient, but the lid design mitigates this somewhat so it's a decent compromise. The goal is keeping liquid cold (or warm) for just a few hours rather than a day or two.

@@nohandleleft what are you talking about ? A vacuum would absolutely be of value, because it's supposed to to preserve the temperature for most of the day. In 1892 Sir James Dewar invented the "Thermos" double-walled glass vacuum flask. It was for scientific chemical experiments, where they needed to preserve temperatures, and for more than "just a few hours". "The goal is keeping liquid cold (or warm) for just a few hours rather than a day or two." ??? The goal is a consumer flask that keeps the contents cold/warm ALL DAY, not just "a few hours". People leaving for work, going on a trip, from early in the morning, and finishing later in the day. Same as flasks have been made for 100 years !

Now if there were a vacuum between the walls then you would have something.

Guessing there would be a partial vacuum because of the high temperature expanded air would be sealed inside and contract while cooling.

Nah. If there were a vacuum between the walls then you would have nothing.

Ok, very good video, but the final products what are made for and where can be used???

The Chinese like warm water and tea. We use double glazing to insulate it. Glass is best because it is healthy and does not contain harmful chemicals!!👍👍👍 I work in foreign trade and know a lot about materials~~😄
