As a metallurgical engineer, I can say that this manufacturing method, known as lost-wax casting, is generally used for high-precision components and artistic works. Congratulations on producing something so simple with such high quality.

I just bought one and the quality is top notch. It's much better than the lodge casts that I currently have.

I still find it kind of amazing that the best way to cast metal is still by using single-use sand and ceramic molds...
@rickmacpherson14132 ай бұрын
An excellent presentation in the differences between a sand casting and an investment casting! Much better overall finish, no porosity and way less matching.
so far, over the years, all the products i've seen from Taiwan have been excellent . Knives, etc. Now, i look for the Taiwan stamp.

I like the fact that it is smooth on the inside. A different pan brand I bought a few years ago had a rough interior which is horrible. (It was the only pan available without costing an arm and a leg.) Things tend to stick to it much more easy. I wish I could just grind it down to make it smooth.

Turn on Closed Captioning (the "CC" button on the bottom right of the video) to get narrative text. At the beginning, the pans are made of wax. The wax is coated then melted out to leave a ceramic mold.

@@rayleblanc7209 they provide iron, if you don't eat iron rich foods you can get anemic and die and this help.
183 is more than i spent on pots and pans in my lifetime at 41, for those of you not able to even look at this expensive pan, a simple cast iron skillet is like 10 bucks new at worst is most stores in america, so this one pan to rule them all, or buy a new one if the old one ever does wear out, which is very unlikely
