I found their page a while ago, so I'm so happy to see them here! I'm going through OCIA at my parish right now and will be baptized and brought into the church at the Easter vigil! ❤️

I wondered what these two young girls could possibly know about faith. I was wrong. They have diligently studied and deeply understood faith, allowing themselves to live according to its truths. I truly admire them. They can articulate and answer challenging questions with remarkable clarity and grace. Ave Maria.....

At the age of 65 I started RCIA....it took me longer to get to where you smart gals were!:) As I was listening to you, I thought that is what hit me as well. I started reading the early church fathers and after years of being an evangelical, I had to find the truth. Thanks for sharing your journey....I have been a Catholic for four years in February and so glad I made the move to The Church.

At minute 52 - I had a cry because it was so convincing, that’s were I am now. Serving at my Protestant church, sneaking off to RCIA. But like them I also didn’t realize RCIA was a baptism class.

RCIA is educational AND a process of discernment. No obligation to do anything. IF you decide to become Catholic AND you have not been validly baptized before then you would get baptized. But you might already have been validly baptized in a Christian church.

I once heard a pastor talking to a new convert. He asked him about what he needs to get baptized. The pastor said, "don't worry about that. Baptism isn't important."

Did you know that in an emergency, anyone can baptise a person and even using saliva in lieu of water can be used. Someone fact check this please, but this is what was mentioned by someone during an RCIA session.
@BensWorkshop6 сағат бұрын
@@geauxlow Can't say about saliva but paragraph 1256 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church says "The ordinary ministers of Baptism are the bishop and priest and, in the Latin Church, also the deacon.57 In case of necessity, any person, even someone not baptized, can baptize, if he has the required intention. the intention required is to will to do what the Church does when she baptizes, and to apply the Trinitarian baptismal formula. the Church finds the reason for this possibility in the universal saving will of God and the necessity of Baptism for salvation."

@@geauxlow I don't know about with saliva but paragraph 1256 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church says anyone can as long as they intend to do it as the Church does it and uses the trinitatarian formula.

You say that Sola Scriptura assumes literacy and eyesight, but also, Protestant "worship" assumes those with functional hearing. Would God exclude the deaf and the blind?! Jesus didn't. My main reason to attend Mass is the Eucharist (I am hearing impaired).

Very interesting comment. As a 'hearing' person I've gone to Church in France not knowing the language, yet feeling very much a part of the community.

Such a great listen! Excellent Interview by Wendy (not Lindsey 😂) and Zoe (not Zoh😂) 15:47 hits home in which my wife is a baptist and I am an on-fire catholic that struggles to speak at all with her about anything Catholic. Please pray for us as we work through our differences in beliefs about Christianity.

Eliakim got One Key for the kingdom of Judah. Peter got multiple Keys. I assume Rome and Antioch hold a key each? Antioch should be the Ecumenical Patriarch of Eastern Orthodox.
