More neons and more glow light tetras would be great .... you're rams and the blue acara are going to need caves to spawn in ... the bristles probably too ... otherwise you may have aggression between the cichlids.j/s Gorgeous tank

Love how MD always keeps the everyday aquarists in mind. He's no Green Aqua, MJ Aquascaping, George Farmer, etc. He won't be invited to scape at some big international aquascaping event. But goddamn u are a Hero to us everyday ppl who just want beautiful tanks on the budgets we got! U rock!

@@oscarlindvall1053 not being argumentative, as we all have our individual tastes..but George Farmer is thoroughly chill and seems to be very kind. There are so many ways people keep aquariums. I am not so much into pro aquascaping I just like his energy and I like the way he designs his aquariums are really artistic..I also like MJ aquascaping too for the same reasons. George Farmer also gave this guy MD some nice exposure a couple times by featuring his aquariums in videos..which I thought was very generous. I am not sure why I like this channel. I am more into trying to understand the science of aquarium keeping and feel it to be a necessity; I have difficult water. I also want to learn how to care of the specific fish I am into and be familiar with fish disease. I do think though, MD is great for making people feel comfortable and inspired to take on aquarium keeping. He's obviously succeeding very well & quickly too. It is nice he's able to make a successful career being on KZbin and be able to share his joy okeeping fish and aquascaping

This turned out so good. MD, you have really changed the game. I am active on youtube and Reddit, and follow so many aquarium related channels/pages. It's rare that someone hasn't been inspired by your videos and your creations. I see so many people referencing you, whether it be your substrate layering, the media bags, the internal filters, lighting, the list goes on. I am really so heartened to see it because I remember following you back when you had less than 1000 subs when your videos were just music and aquarium setups. You have really grown in your skill but you've never lost the charm that made you a special youtuber. Your electric blue acaras are going to start picking off the smaller tetras. My acaras ate all but 2 of my 14 rummy nose tetras in one day. Probably a good idea to move the small ones like the glowlights and cardinals to a different tank

Mine did the same thing once it got about 3 inches. I started finding neon tetras with their fins all damaged from almost being eaten.

Whats the smallest fish you can keep with your electric blues? I really want some schooling fish in my main tank, 310L/82gal water. So I just got 12 congo tetras, but ideally id like some other as well. Got 16 cherry Barbs as well, though they very well might be eaten as well.

@@mikkelkirketerp4884 mine didn’t eat them but that’s because the Acara aren’t full grown. They tried to and really beat the hell out of them. They took care of all of my green neon and Pygmy cories. Took one night. They had lived together just fine for a while, so I didn’t expect it. One day they figured it out and boom.

I grew up in a tropical fish shop. So all my life I have been scaping and combining community tanks. This is the best scape I have ever seen... well done you and the addition of the Acaras is just inspired. The Rams are happy and I love your ideas on flow. MD if you want your Blue Accara to grow even quicker I would recomend feeding them some pelets. I've had mine for about as long as yours and they started smaller. Now they are like 12 cm long

Take a look in the holes and crevasses off the old wood that was in the tank, there maybe is more plecos hiding in it. It has happen to me once I've noticed only 2 ancistrus going into the new tank, but I remember many more in the old amazon tank
