$1.5 billion would have been better spent on a railway that can move more people and cargo. Airports only benefit rich people. Trains are for everyone. We need to get our priorities straight.

Do you know airport of this nature can boost ur foreign reserves? Train is a complete waste because you will 100% rely on getting returns from locals? What's the patronizing power of people in Abia state? With airport you can attract foreign investors and you can export directly from ur airport without relying on another state. I personally haven't been to Abia for a while because each time I think of visiting home, that road stress alone discourages me, and there are a lot of people like me. Moreover this airport is a FEDERAL GOVERNMENT project. You guys need to take it easy on your criticisms on this airport project

This will impact negatively on the life of the indigenes whose farm land has been taken over by the government. Many politicians will get very rich from this project.
