Young folks better not have kids especially with states closing schools. A district in TX just closed 3 or 5 elementary schools and more are to come in other states. The only options you will have for your kids is to PAY for school because there will only be charter schools or homeschool them. It’s best NOT to have kids now.

My father worked for 30 years in a factory. My mother was a stay at home mom. They raised 6 children, bought a two story house,had a reliable car,and we took a 2 week family vacation every year. That's what I called living the American Dream. A Buck was worth a buck back then.INFLATION is what is killing most people today that play by the rules . Mom and dad's are both working,nobody is home to raise the children,it's turned into the American nightmare.,!!!

I have 2 boys, 5 years old and almost 1. Daycare is BY FAR the worst part about parenting. During the pandemic it was even worse as we had to pay for 4-5 months of daycare thay we never even received otherwise we would have lost our spot at that Daycare. It currently tly costs $300 a week for our baby and the hours of 7:30 to 4:45 aren't even long enough for one of us to work a full day. To all you who are contemplating children, make sure you have Daycare squared away before getting pregnant. I thought we'd had some regular family help but we get no scheduled help and minimal help even when we are in a bind. If something doesn't change with the Daycare problem in this country then fertility rates are going to really drop off.

His viewers are throwing money at him and offering free stays at their homes and properties. I never wanted to be a father (so I didn't) and I never wanted to be "held down" by owning a home. So now I'm 67, collecting my full Social Security, with NO debt and good savings, living fine in The US. However, I'm ready for a change, so I'll be moving to Cambodia mid next year, where I can live VERY well, not have to even touch my savings, and still save approx. $20,000 every year. I'm waiting until next year to move, because I have A LOT of Gold & Silver, and I expect it to increase in value (markedly) in the next several months, so I don't want to miss all that profit by selling it at current values.

@ i do chuckle when I hear younger folks talk about submitting hundreds of resumes. When I was laid off, it was newspapers, recruiters and many phone calls. Mailing paper resumes to hr. I did land another job before my final work day but realized after that and another job it was time to take my parents offer and continue for my bachelors degree. I was already going to the community college system for a few years working on an AS in IT. Had to take many more courses for an AA and then start at the university as a junior. I am much netter off since graduating with my BA in MIS and then a few years later earning a MS in CIS. Always found work since. But I do suspect if I were to be let go this time that work would not be so easy to obtain. So be it. My coffers are full and the home is paid off

Can't afford to have kids. That's a line that truly exposes someone's sense of entitlement and how out of touch and selfish they are. Even well below middle class people in America enjoy a much better life than most of the rest of the world, and they seem to be having children and able to manage. Some people yes they should hold off on children if they're in a bad situation, but the vast majority could just have their children,.. You have a way of figuring it out and managing as you go.
@gabrielmoody17089 күн бұрын
Some people are just not cut out to be parents even if they are financially stable and is really no one else's concern. Making a conscious decision to not just "have their kids" is neither selfish or entitled and involve circumstances you are not privy to!
@genxx27249 күн бұрын
@@gabrielmoody1708 What’s selfish is to have kids when you have no interest in raising them. Most people have no idea what raising a child entails. They’ve never even held a baby or taken care of a child until they have their own. It’s ridiculous.

Agreed, it's changed a little but the premise of if you want it bad enough you can do it is still true. I work for a utility company and got to know a 22yr old laborer that worked for a contractor we deal with. He and his wife were expecting their 1st child and lived with her parents. He told me this hand digging ditches for $22 an hour wasn't the long term answer. He went to night school, learned MIG and arc welding and got certified. That was 5yrs ago. Now he's with the same contractor but does welding on live high pressure natural gas mains. He got his own tricked out welding truck he owns.. Makes almost $60 an hour and does side work for $50 an hour. They've moved in to their own house and have a 2nd child now. When he shows up to do a weld he sits in his truck and sips his coffee until the excavation is exactly the way he wants it, shoring, gravel poured in the bottom so his feet don't sink in mud. Then he gets out.. Does his 15-30min welding and he's done until the next weld. I saw him at a job recently, he smiled and shook his head listening to the 20yr old laborers complaining about how the system is rigged against them, they're no opportunities, their pay sucks and they can't get ahead.
