I love this woman's courage and strength. I can see why Mr. Netanyahu would reportedly say of her that she is the equivalent in effectiveness to an IDF Division (10,000 highly trained and equipped men and women soldiers!) Dr. Wisse makes a point about how the culturally powerful Jews in the American arts and entertainment industry have failed to make films about the goodness and positive contributions to the world by Israeli society. The Jewish moguls of Hollywood have remained strangely silent about this. Not since Darrel Zanuck's powerful film version of Leon Uris's "Exodus" sixty years ago have we seen an heroic depiction of modern Israel and the plight of the Jews. Why is that?!

Ruth's right about the thin line between free speech and incitement. We as Americans are still arguing about whether Abraham Lincoln was justified in suspending the right of habeus corpus during the Civil War and incarcerating pro-Confederate agitators without charging them in the courts. In our republican democracy where the fundamental principle is that the individual citizen is the sovereign, we have committed to abide by his or her vote on an issue and trust in the individual's judgment on the matter at hand. Otherwise the entire enterprise is doomed.

How about a compromise, Harvard gets ROTC back, but take jROTC out of high schools.

Defending a minority people that have been persecuted for 2,000 years is NOT hateful. In fact, it is the opposite of hate.

@CarlosGonzales-wm8xx Defining minority people to k ill others and take their lands is a crime. She speaks use elegant words to justify how arabs hate jews because they took their land and they refused and decided to support Palestinians. Because they knows the arabs knows their turn is coming When jews fill all their newspapers and posts everywhere at that time of their dreamcountry and arabs find their countries the next. They have ti keep silent and watch jews kicked them out for their lands. Jews now in schools teaching their kids how to steal land and everything on this earth is their right their own. Those people practices and under religious or political believes make them minority not other people fault.
