If you notice, they have an unnatural love for their master and feel he can do no wrong, when normal people who are not brainwashed robots, feel the President has flaws like every other human and is not afraid to say so. Scary, this shows why Americans know nothing about China. This presentation is so beyond misinformed that it just demonstrates American blindness and arrogance, and belief in its own propaganda. Just looking at statistics that suit the narrative rather than reality. This year China is moving towards a USD1 Trillion trade surplus and is now leading or dominating 37 out of 44 most important “Critical Technologies” covering a range of crucial technology fields spanning defence, space, robotics, energy, the environment, biotechnology, artificial intelligence (AI), advanced materials and key quantum technology areas. Instead of relying on the West for technology, it took upon itself to develop. The more Americans will follow such disinformation, the more blind it becomes to reality.

China is poor in resource for correction. It occupied Tibet, Uighur, Southern Mongolia, Manchuria and many other parts of different countries and exploiting like anything to feed Han Chinese. Once these countries will be freed, China will be poorer.

The jealousy and disinformation above just reeks. All those territories are part of China and have been since the 18th to early 19th Century. During this time period, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas and Florida were still Spanish and part of New Spain. Oregon was still disputed land by the British. Does that mean that these states are also different countries and just occupied lands today (some Californians and Texans view themselves as different from the rest of the US - with Texas even having its own currency in the 1830’s) These territories don’t have anywhere near the amount of history as part of the US than your mentions have as part of China. If global trade all around the world stopped, China would still be self-sufficient today and could run from resources within its borders. However, the US will struggle as there are many rare earths and materials that are not available from within the country - not to mention that due to years of de-industrialization, it is no longer self-sufficient with production without viable supply chains in key industries. So instead of spreading jealousy - why not learn a bit of history?

I don't believe Mr. Beckley's argument at all. This is because the so-called famous Western scholars and professors on China have never gone to the mainland for long-term inspections. There is no in-depth research on the political and economic laws of authoritarian countries, especially communist dictatorships. How could they predict the development under the rule of the CCP based on the political and economic theories of capitalism, especially liberal capitalism, without making serious mistakes? This is as absurd as a reptilian scholar predicting the development of mammals. Therefore, since the 1980s, American and Western scholars have been predicting the collapse of the Chinese Communist regime hundreds of times. Mr. Beckley once predicted that the economic development of mainland China will not exceed that of Japan. As a result, none of the predictions of these "scholars" and "professors" came true. Post fewer predictions and spend more time studying the political and economic development patterns of China under the CCP’s dictatorship instead of making irresponsible remarks every day.
