I think this is one of your best videos because of the message that quality drives customer loyalty. What a great theme.

Same in Germany, hight quality, no bullshit.
@Sugarsail12 жыл бұрын
No , Germany has high quality, high bullshit, lots of unions, lots of regulations, lots of complexity and high wages. Japan has high-bullshit and long work hours and high quality if you're lucky. I used to work all over the world in the tech biz and the cultural differences in the work environs are funny , but they are rarely what Americans romanticize them to be. If you want high quality and low bullshit, there are only two places to go...Italy and the midwest US...yup, Italy. And look out for Brazil too, they are scoring high on the no-bullshit meter.

That's a lot of fine detail work for concrete work, but if the customer is willing to pay for it...

They pay less than they had to pay for the US garbage ...

That's why we trust Japanese
@Sugarsail12 жыл бұрын
speak for yourself, I used to live in Japan and work there, I don't trust the Japanese one bit. In fact the only people I trust less than the Japanese is the Chinese. If you want to trust someone in Asia, go to Korea.

I am sure concrete work is more advanced in N America though
@albutterfield59654 жыл бұрын
For me Most America crafts people only want to give about 85 or 90% but still want top dollar. Look at house framers that get paid by the house, throw it up as fast as we can, it may be up to code but the craftsmanship is not there.

At what point does extra detail work go from Monozukuri to overproduction? That concrete does looks amazing but a little voice in the back of my mind is saying, "Polishing concrete that's going to be buried isn't value-added!"
@FastCapLLC7 жыл бұрын
That is in the eyes of the customer and the person performing. You have to determine what is value added for you. They have to determine what is value added for them. They are the best in the world at just about everything so it's difficult to argue with them :)

Some not all of Fastcaps products need to visit this total quality concept. A couple of my friends bought Tape Measures from Fastcap The quality was total crap. Cheap junk made in China. Paul Acres preaches total quality but Fastcap sells some junk products. I think he talks out of both sides of his mouth. No, they don't want a refund, they threw the junk tape measures in the trash. Offering a refund on crap products is not an honorable position. Make it quality from the start.
@paul-akers7 жыл бұрын
We are far from perfect but nowhere near Japanese quality if anybody ever has a problem with our products they are guaranteed for life unconditionally no receipt needed just call the 800 number and they will be replaced or refunded under a minute. 888 443 3748

Hi Paul, just want to add a comment. What you said about Japanese it true their products are very high qualities. That brings me to my point I am from Africa and Japan build a road in my country and it's just of quality compair to other contractors that are running around Africa.

What about the quality of the American concrete residential and commercial buildings? This kind of video really frustrates me because I know both the germany and the japan offer quality building materials but it really doesn't matter here in the United States. Complicated and narrowly divided construction laws and racially divided communities really makes me think all these are just pie in the sky pipe dreams. And the thing is the Industry is NOT willing to change the laws making sure everyone equally suffers. It doesn't matter if you have the money or not.
