yeah i went for the national debt as well. best to research first when you're just starting this campaign. if you started from the very beginning like you'll have to go through the first upgrades, i usually go for canister shot. a very game changing upgrade for your army.

Hey Viking just maybe some advice for engaging natives. It really helps to have a TON of cannons on your front line, backed by well trained line infantry and marines. You let cannons hold fire until almost point blank and blast them with cannister. From experience, Natives just route almost immediatly under that much fire

Rome 2 is a good game, but that's just my opinion, there is a good amount of nations to play but if you want to play as Sparta, Athens, or epirus you have to buy the Greek state's pack

Yep, what's happening is the AI is making moves out in the "fog of war" where we, as the USA, can't see them. So the game just keeps the camera in place while it cranks through the AI's moves or until something moves where we can see it on the map.

@Erdeanmich Germany was't even a unified country, they kept fighting for power with each other to actually create a single country of german people.It had more to worry about on its own internal problems than with colonies and was constantly in war within Europe to even bother with North America.
