Young guy coming in here.. "War at Saber Point" by John Knight was excellent and really opened my eyes to the Loyalist perspective, while also humanizing the most hated British commander of the revolution. A must read!!

Thanks Bill. You certainly bolstered my Amazon Wish List. What was great was that I looked up a majority of your suggestions, (Some of these I already had) and ended up finding so much more with Amazon's Continued reading button. You gave me a great starting off point for books on the American Revolution. This gives me a vast collection to add to my library.

I am glad I could help. The continued reading button on Amazon is wonderful. I use that all the time. It brings up titles I would never have thought of. And of course, having all of those reviews to go through before you buy the books is also very nice. Thanks for watching.

My favorite video from you so far!! I added every single book you mentioned to my TBR. I just recently became interested in American history and have started stocking up on books about the presidents in particular. I've been working my way through chronologically and am only on Jefferson so far. But my favorites so far were about Washington and I've become very interested in the American Revolution. Thanks again for all the great recommendations!

Glad the book recommendations are helping. This tag was a lot of fun to create. It was fun to listen to other peoples responses on this one. It helped me because I am always looking for more titles to read. Glad to hear that you are having so much fun with the presidents. It is good stuff. Thanks for watching.

There is a British perspective book called "Iron Tears" by Stanley Weintraub. There is an NPR discussion on the book with the author too - just search for "Iron Tears NPR" - six minute listen.

@@billruttenberg Doing The American Revolution in history class (In Britain) was an interesting experience But Cornwallis is important for his consolidation of The British power in Bengal and ultimately India He was also involved in Ireland and initiated The 1801 Act of Union too. Weirdly Britain invaded India from East to West Where most invaders of India have come by land Into the North-West of India The British started in Bengal and went West with Sindh and the Sikh Empire of the Punjab being some of the last to fall.

@@johncrwarner Thanks for letting me know. I don't know much on Cornwallis after the Revolution without further research. It is the "problem" of reading history ... there is always more, always something else. LOL. The never ending TBR. I'm just kidding, that is the fun of it!! That is definitely what keeps us going. Have a great day.

Thank you for the recommendation Kevin. I have seen the title in bibliographies before, but I haven't found it in the used book store. You can be sure that I will pick it up if I ever see it! I have a few books by both Commager and Morris. They always give an excellent point of view on things. Thank you for watching. Have a great day.

I googled it and I came up with a website with militia accounts from the Revolutionary War.
