Must be very interesting to try those new rules - Sadly I'm playing all expansions of CCN and spent so much times sticking all those blocks for years and learning all the rules from the single battles to the Epic and Grande Bataille ones (I played more than 450 battles - All recorded) and my life is so overbooked that I can't even imagine diving into this new system - But I hope you all enjoy it Generals! I feel your pain, I am over invested in CCA so I moved this one on. I am particularly keen to acquire the Medieval version which is close enough to CCA that I think it would be an ok addition to my collection..

You did all that stickering in only one day? (29:55). I'm on day three and am only about 2/3 the way through. (Though I'm doing it only while watching TV in the evening). Anyway, that was a good, informative video. I enjoyed it. And us Yanks will forgive the sting that you stll obviously harbor over your loss in that "American war for independence"! 😀

At 24:20 you moved a British unit onto a bridge and carried out a melee attack. Is there no penalty to melee from a bridge?

Pepe Carrillo my understanding is that artillery loses a die battling from a bridge, infantry on a bridge can ignore 1 flag. Bridges also cancel all river and fordable stream modifiers. See p21 of the downloadable rulebook

Thanks for the video. And I agree that the map board is so plain and boring. A nice border, darker than the play area, could have made this map pop. The GMT maps look so much better; all one has to do is look at the map board for Ancients and Napoleonics.

I agree, whilst the map works for its purpose the GMT style would have been nice to have. The option for an epic variant would be nice as well.
