The Ames Brothers are undeniably among the ten best vocal groups of the 20th century. Their vocal gymnastics and tight harmonies were unwaveringly impeccable. Wish this medley included their utterly stupendous Undecided single. But I am grateful for whatever live clips have survived.

Ed Ames, my favorite singer since I was 13 yrs old. Loved him on Daniel Boone too! Got to see him sing in person around 1970. I've enjoyed listening so much over the years. R.I.P. Ed Ames. And the talented brothers too, who have been gone for quite some time now.

How fondly I remember this! Us 3 little sisters used to go about singing RAG MOP until Mother made us stop, LOL!!! We were in elementary school, and our fellow pupils had seen the Ed Sullivan show with the Ames Brothers and were singing RAG MOP, too! LOL!!!

The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane is fabulous. Would love to hear the full version. Wonder who did the song with the lyrics 'I see I saw I left, left, left, I see I saw I right'? Anybody know the title or singers?
@TomElvisSmith2 жыл бұрын
That sounds a bit like "I Saw Esau" which was a hit for the Ames Brothers in 1956. I also hope they post the full performance of "The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane" from another episode. Love these Ames Brothers videos!

HOW LUCKY CAN A BROTHER BE? ED WAS THE TALLEST, HANDSOMEST, HAD THE BEST VOICE, AND LIVED THE LONGEST!😊 I DIDN'T CARE FOR THE FIRST DITTIE, BUT NO VOCAL GROUP OR SOLO PERFORMER WAS HOTTER THAN THEY WERE IN THEIR PRIME. (I WISH THEY HAD SUNG A REDUCTION OF "IT ONLY HURTS FOR A LITTLE WHILE" IN PLACE OF "RAG MOP."😬🙉😫)
