With traction control on any little bit of wheel slip is going to cut boost. Being open diff, our cars slip like crazy. Sport mode takes that out of the equation.

True, also depends in size of turbo. 28psi in a hybrid vs a 3076 with 28psi. You see where I'm going.

These cars don’t go off target boost pressure, they go off target torque. Boost is never gonna be the same. When it’s colder you don’t get that massive spike with denser air and blow your engine. IAT’s is where you feel a difference as it pulls timing with hotter IAT’s. Another reason heat soak is huge issue with them.

The outside air temperature will effect the boost also and I had to do my data logs in 4th gear because when the boost would build in 3rd the tires would let go. On the 93 tune on a hot day (90) it's 25psi on a cool day (50-60)it's 27psi on the E40 hot day 28psi cool day 30.89psi lol

I'm still stock turbo and with my E30 tune it's making like 24-26psi depending on when I get on it in the rev band. Little turbo and all makes the sauce down low and dies on top. Upgraded turbo 1 day lmao.

Yea the stock turbo will be full tilt by like 2600rpm which is crazy!

I miss South OC C&C... Great show with so much variety. My stock turbo pumps out 26+ psi and it's great. I find I get the most PSI in 5th and 6th at highway speeds (60-70)

Gotta log a pull and check the boost line over the pull to get a better idea. It usually spikes after the turbo gets fully spun up. I think I'm at around 25 psi on an s280 with 92 octane. 280hp/310tq wheel 🤠

I think last log I checked was holding 26psi all the way through with a spike close to 27.5.

Stock turbo. 26 PSI peak custom tuned on 93 4 years of heavy, HEAVY abuse and I’m surprised this thing still starts and drives like the first day I got it. By heavy abuse I mean redline at least 5 times per each drive 😂 the street is my track!

It's mindblowing how overbuilt these little cars are, ESPECIALLY compared to any new Civic Si. Those things need a new clutch with a tune 😂 and the tune is like 21psi or so. How far Honda fell off when they stopped putting K series in the Si.
