I’m so impressed by Ampersand’s quality and thinking of the needs of the artist’s. I do mostly small size art. My local fine art supply store sells Ampersand and I’ve built up a pretty good stash of your Gesso and Aquabord panels and I’ll be needing some frames too and will look at Ampersand frames for certain. They’re all great! Thanks!

Not clear about attaching flat panels...do they have to be screwed on? I’d like to be able to easily remove them from frame if necessary.

How would you frame an uncradled wood panel?

Our 7/8” depth Fioaterframe includes riser blocks that can be glued to your uncradled panel to extend the artwork to the correct position in the frame. Then, use the included hardware to frame your work. (See section starting at 3:15 in this video)

How are people protecting their soft pastel in these types of frames? From my understanding Soft pastels need to be behind glass to prevent smudging???

Soft pastels should be framed under glass and not with floater-style frames. These frames are intended for artwork that doesn't need glazing for protection.
