In this video we see an introduction to the amygdala, how it coordinates the fear response, and how it helps us learn what to fear through synaptic plasticity.

This is my LAST FRONTIER. Since end of 2019 when I realised the role played by my amygdala, I have de-toxed from most of the abuses received and I am struggling now at removing toxic anger. I pealed it off layer-by-layer and now I realised why I do not even feared death before and did not get scared at knives and guns pointed at me in the past or being assalted when I was a teenager by a venger older man beating me with a piece of wood. My only fear is to be physically assalted as my father used to do almost on a daily basis. While my mom kept cooking, washing up, or cleaning the house. Whilst, my friends and colleagues appreciate my inventivness and imagination, my parents still find it so difficult even to say 'THANKS' for what I do for them. It is never enough for them and it is a given. Because of this constant fear of being assalted, now I just learned from your video how even my family home or usual 'loaded' discussions with parents can trigger this part of my brain bringing me to such an alert state that if an abuse takes place I am very likely to strike first. I am learning to recognise signs days before an argument starts by monitoring my feeling, thoughts, and behaviour. Now my challenge is how to stop this TRAIL of DESTRUCTION.

This is so raw and vulnerable... and totally relatable. Thank you for sharing your experience and how this translates to human behavior. It sounds like you are on the path towards healing and discovering how to stop the patterns of abuse.

The situations you have faced are unfortunate but I’m so glad that you’re healing and I’m sure as you said you’re leaving it behind layer by layer you’ll grow wiser. The only thing you’ve disagreed with all your life, is their behaviour and how it affects you, now its time to drop those fears, and just be you. Be free. Be loving.

This video is so good that my poor and misstyped google search recommended this video as the top result, views don't matter here as you seem to be the best at explaining a niche subject.

Remember Senator, that your fight is one of reason and logic against amygdala and primal responses. We literally need more leaders like you so our species can begin to truly transcend our animalistic impulses. And no, I'm not being ironic, we no longer live in caves and walled city states, we've conquered the planet, we don't need that shit anymore, at least not at that level.

studies like these shouldn't be using mice! How can you compare their amygdalas with that of humans??? that's bizarre! pay a few humans and give them music and the odd "scare", and your research will be 100% accurate!
