Great review sir! As soon as it was out for XBOX, now that we have WASM, I got the aircraft. Wonderful amount of detail and options. I set up a second just under the wing view which I watch on takeoffs. It was sad that the only flying aircraft was destroyed, but I know it will be rebuilt, such heavy lift is needed and this aircraft was one of its kind. I have sat in the flight deck of its smaller cousin, the Lockheed C5, and also the smaller C141. I used to live near Travis in Fairfield, CA, a Military Airlift Command base. A friend's father was base commander--he got my eighth grade class in '75 a tour of the jets I mention and a rare, usually off limits trip into the tower, where we watched a military version of the 737-200 take off. I do not know about the Antonov, but with a 30 kt headwind one day, I saw a C5 get into the air after a

yes you can control each of the 6 engines just configure your thrust to this: throttle 4 axis (0 to 100%) select the Joystick L-Axis Y for throttle 3 do the same thing and for throttle 2 axis and 1 the ones that say (0 to 100%) put them in Joystick L-Axis X it works totally fine for me and can control all of its engines and also sensitivity: Joystick L-Axis X is from top to bottom is 0%-0%-12%-41%-0-100% FOR Joystick L-Axis Y is 0%-0%-12%-42%-0%-100% for Joystick L-Axis Z is all 0% except the last one (Reactivity) to 100% and also for Joystick R-Axis X you're welcome.

Because it actually didn´t handle like you think it should, that´s the whole point. It´s old but has fly by wire assistance and the control surfaces are as big as some airliners whole wings. Of course it needs long runways at full capacity, but in the air it´s definitely not worse handling than an A380 or a 747-8.

Seems to me it was rushed and catered more towards being console friendly then it was for people seriously wanting a high fidelity aircraft. Kind of a shame for us who would like study level aircraft however as a freebee for donating towards the antonov fund, maybe its worth it

No not actually. The plane was even aided by the antonov guys themselves.. it is actually the most accurate model of the AN-225 and yes the plane would feel light. Idk everyone assumes heavy equals heavy feel during flight. Its not always the case and especially in the case of the AN-225 which was actually fairly maneuverable for its size.

@@JacKnife3705 Look at any study level aircraft, I don't doubt the flight model is good however when you factor in everything else such as performance charts, mass balance and other things it does leave a bit lacking. Though for the price I wouldn't expect too much from an aircraft of that size. trouble is that it also translates to smaller aircraft such as the caribou and an 2 where the scope for realism especially when factoring that these aircraft would be more suitable for this sim due to the world model. Would benefit from being as realistic as possible. I think asobo needs to focus a bit more on core functionality to the sim before dumping huge amounts of money onto modules. Things like realistic engine models, tailwheel physics among other things are lacking.

Only downside is that the engines don't match the sound she and her little Ruslan sisters would make in real life. Otherwise it is a fantastic plane. I'd buy it and Concorde instantly had I the hardware to play MSF2020 with max graphics.
