Sully said he knew immediately his plane would not have made it back before he even made any decisions. !! Due to the low altitude and low speed, and also high rise buildings, it would have been in his own words. "Problematic". He said. "Due to the distance and the altitude required to make the turn back to La Guardia. It would have been problematic reaching the runway". And it was proven, he wouldn't have made it.
