This is an overview of the Anakim tribe. It details who they were, where they came from, and where they went. It's also part of a larger series I'm doing on the Nephilim tribes in the Bible. It is complicated we know the 1 son missed the old sinful world and he wrote or found a forbidden old world knowledge.. Hi, I have 2 question: The Nephilim were on the earth in those days-and also afterward-when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown. Genesis 6:4. Doesn't this verse state positive things about Nephilim? Also, the flood story happens right after this verse. Isn't aN the god of Sumerian? I researched the real pronunciation for AN is עֲנּ - so almost silent a and N. 'N or aN is the highest diety in Sumerian culture - the father of Enki and Enlil the giant gods (probably fallen angels or hybrids). Also it relates to the word letter Nun (N in hebrew נ) which means "the Nachas or the Serpent" and in Proto Sinaitic N is symbolized as "Snake" An is the father of the Sumerian giants tribe "Anunaki" (modern spelling) and old spelling Anu Nagi which is equal as Nagas in Sunskrit / Nachas in hebrew). Nachas is the old serpent in the Bible. If you open Orthodox Jewish translation - they use the word Nachas for the dragon and the serpent. Is it possible this related to the Anakim in the Bible? I suspect the pronounciation is not as anakim but sound more aN'im (decendant of aN) since 'yim or im for used for plural form. and the end of -akh or -kh is used for male singular. Look at this verse...Genesis 6:4 NKJV - There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Notice the giants in thise days AND AFTER when the sons of God came into the daughters of men. I believe this tells us right there, that another fall took place in those days AND AFTER and that is where the giants came from again. We know the giants were not in the ark. Was Yah unable to put clean Dan aboard the ark? Was he unable to known if there was defective DNA. No. Another fall had to have taken place.

Fyi the 2 letters at the end of their name ('im') is simply the plural from of their names. What you need to do is convert it to the English form: Nephils, Anakites, Rephaites... Anak has nothing to do with "neck", it has nothing to do with the English word & every name was derived from an individual ancestor. Also, you don't understand what the Hebrew text says in Joshua: it refers to HEBRON being the biggest of the Anakites, not Arabaa.
