love the idea of showing players this kinda stuff is possible so that they don't just see "wigglytuff aligned onto my malamar, ggs" always spreading a positive message, keep up the good work!

No he doesn’t, for the average player to have to do something like that to win on ace level is crazy, especially when you get hard counter on every set. These videos are a show 6 pick 3, different way to go about it than regular pvp.

@ perhaps true, but reaching legend itself is a feat.

My takeaway here is if you are at a bad matchup always aim to desync the switch timer (usually by catching) and switch as often as possible.

Thats only if youre fully hard countered really. If the lead is bad and switch is bad try to chip and win back switch

@@gumreaper8262how do you chip?
@gumreaper8262
@gumreaper8262 5 күн бұрын
@YunxiaoChu Chipping is just weakening the enemy pokemon so your lead/back pokemon can farm down and fight the next pokemon with an energy advantage

I wish there was a league that uses a battle system similar to VGC where you have team preview and you pick 3 of your team.

So, what exactly is the cycle reset that you mentioned? Is it specifically throwing a move when the opponent is going to get to 100 energy to force that decision of throwing on alignment vs. going over 100 energy, or are there other examples of cycle reset/a more general definition?
@YahvultalPKMN
@YahvultalPKMN 10 күн бұрын
Lets say you have a Shadow Drapion with 2 Crunches and the opponent has a Galar Corsola with a move loaded Corsola would have to throw on 1 fast move for optimal timing, but you can just throw 1 Poison Sting and a Crunch to reset this cycle if Corsola wants to throw on good timing, they would have to take 2 crunches in order to do so

i rhink the tides turned on game three because gandok retreated the serperior. It did nothing in the endgame and couldve been used to trade damage on moltres. Because now drapion has tanked more damage and that what let ari run wild. You can say its too avoid farm on molt since its energy is much stronger, but the shields ended up being used on lunges and trailblazes anyway.

if he did inteand to use it later, he shouldve built up to aerial ace and he had the health to do that.

I think there's really something to be said about using pokemon that have some flexibility to them. There's some pokemon / matchups that if they become aligned on each other its just miserable,(kyogre vs palkia, basti vs skarm) where there's just almost no counterplay available
@rrev
@rrev 10 күн бұрын
well with some like kyogre the kyogre team is most likely alignment dependent so your either hoping to rps the other guy or just double shield and commit to alignment. i generally have no idea why people think kyogre is good rn its so easy to wall and is kinda slow

could be worse. I just tanked 320 elo after finally breaking 2400 thanks to 30+ hard counter teams. I finally found a good color cup team on the last day and had all positive 4 and 5 sets and only one 2 set.
@rrev
@rrev 10 күн бұрын
unless you have level 50 legendarys, you should stick to great league. you will have a lot of trouble getting above 2300 (at this time) with pokemon which are lower levels than most of your opponents

This works in a tournament because there is no algorithm in place…… everyone is using random pokemon that they select in secret. The algorithm chooses your hard counters with core breakers and terrible leads and safe switches and idc what you do, you aren’t winning those battles…….
