Nice review of sorts. I feel your comment about the pacing is quite funny actually as the anime really does have pacing issues. Mostly in how the first half is actually really slow while the second half is much much faster. I feel this is a problem with how it was adapted. As the manga has a consistent yet slow pacing. Which gives off a great sense of immersion, but because you are reading it, you go through the story at a much more brisk pace. Meaning you get to involve yourself in a slow and atmospheric story while still getting through it quickly. I guess what I mean overall is the manga fixes the terrible pacing the anime has. You are welcome for the really jumbled paragraph. I wish you had mentioned the music though. Really fudging good. Or talked about the terrible comedy.
