Tony Robinson and the team visit Newmarket, the birthplace of horseracing, in search of the earliest archaeological traces of the sport. They dig in the heart of the historic town, in search of the remains of Charles II's racing stables, arguably the world's first. With a thick layer of concrete lying over the site, it's not an easy task. Plus, there's a second area to explore: Charles II's 17th-century Newmarket palace.

He will say to the archaeological digger. what have "we found" HE found nothing. The scholar with the books says something , He says "what did WE find".. again HE found NOTHING. Just watch and you will hear it OVER AND OVER.. "here is what we will be digging", HE never digs ANYTHING himself. He steals credit for others works, and presents it, as if HE found out all this information. himself.. Then tells people that are not listening, or simply think he is smart, because someone JUST told him something, he tells you. That SHOWS he knows VERY little . IMO you guys shouldn't be praising him for acting like a fool. If it's Time TEAM.. why is it always.. I FOUND this that and other other. Seams more like "I, myself, found this out today Team." WE WE WE WE.. HE DOES NOTHING BUT regurgitate what he JUST found out. Anyone can do that...

This was aimed at a UK market starting in 94. It was literally writing the how to manual for presenting archaeology publicly as it went. anyone can surely criticize years later. Inventing a documentary sub genre in ways people will engage with for decades after they are all dead? Not so much. So don't look a gift horse in the mouth just be quiet.

See how the horses are pictured in motion? Notice that they are hopping like bunnies? It took the advent of motion picures before artists and illustrators could see and understand the rendering of horses in motion.

It’s kind of cool that it seems no matter where you dig in England, you find fabulous archeological; however, it’s quite sad that it’s so common they treat it so poorly. Giving a palace a three day dig before some developer builds over it is sad. There really isn’t the time to find very much, then they just slap new build on top of it. It would be nice if the Time Team had actual time to do proper digs.

What is with the extra introduction? Is this just to avoid the YT copyright rules and steal content from the BBC (or whoever paid for the original production of Time Team), and make a whole lot of advertising revenue via YT viewers?
