This is the 14th Episode of my Tour of South Pakistan and in this Episode, I explored the Mohanna Tribe living on Indus river. The Tribe moved from Manchar lake after a dry spell on the lake and since then living their lives in their boats on the river.

In school back in Bombay India in the late 1960's, I had learned about the Indus Valley Civilization, but never knew that the descendants still existed. Nice to know that there are still some left, alive and well, even though their survival is quite difficult in today's harsh world. The tribals seem to be in a very bad state.Some time back I had read an article on the Indus waters and their division amongst the sindhi landlords over drawing water and fishing etc. That's very difficult to digest. It's too feudal for modern times

SINDHU became INDUZ by Greeks and Persians,INDUZ became INDIA by Britishers and other Western countries. The words Hindu and Hindustan are also derived from Sindhu or Sindhu river. I feel good to know that Govt doing something for them. I realize that how tough to survive and even give birth and rearing kids on these tiny boats. I also feel that we humen are so demanding on earth in city we need a fully furnished home and these tribes lives there life without basic facilities and big thing is that they don't have any complaint against anyone..... So simple adorable...please🙏 give them basic support to empower there next generation.
