Technically Debra and Ray are the ones that set up right in front of the proverbial tent If what she said was true that would mean that they lived there first and that the parents were the ones who moved across the street which I think would have made the sitcom far more interesting and compelling The idea of the parents wanting to move to a smaller house with Ray and Debra doing everything in their power so that they would still live further away from them Ray and Debra already have their family made and decide that their or really Debra’s apartment is too small They move to the house we know and love before the events of the sitcom They get the news that the neighbors across the street are moving and Ray and Debra have no idea who would be their new neighbors The new neighbors move in and Debra thinks that it would be neighborly to welcome them to the neighborhood Ray thinks it would be a good idea to sign the new neighbors up for the Fruit of the Month Club so they could come into the neighborhood with fresh food They knock on the neighbors door and Marie comes in and says “hello neighbor!” And Ray and Debra’s faces drop

Marie is the worst though she's a venomous vindictive harpy who has a seriously unhealthy relationship with her sons. She treats them like little boys not grown men, Robert still lived at home in his late 30s feels second best to Ray the pampered prince. Ray is selfish, lazy, spinless, useless weak little mama's boy who stands by whilst his jealous mother abuses his wife day in day out and expects her to put up and shut up and always pander to her. All so because Marie is jealous Ray got marries and had kids and sees Debra as a hussy who stole her baby Marie is a very damaged individual

And moving next door to them was HER idea. Ray warned her and she ignored him. If she wants to complain Ray, she is right to but any complaints she has on his family is on her.

Patty Heaton could never work at an acting academy as an instructor. Why? Because the students would have to be shown a clip of really great acting to know what level of achievement they should be aiming for. And modesty would prevent Patty from showing a clip of herself as either Deborah Barone or Frankie Heck. It doesn't surprise me that she's won multiple Emmys.

There’s a number of things that I would like to say about this video. 1. No family is going to be perfect. Some families are going to have their bitter differences and arguments and end up becoming resentful. 2. Take my family for example, My family was 100% perfect from the beginning. Everyone got along well. But all of a sudden there were verbal attacks between my parents. My brother and I had verbal arguments too. My dad began cheating on my mom. And suddenly their marriage came to a dead end. 3. Today my older brother was being very verbally abusive towards my nephew and it emotionally hurt 😢 me a little. I was going to storm out of the house and have nothing to do with my brother at all. But he angrily said, “Alan, sit down and shut up!!” After he said that, I sat down quietly and almost started crying. But my mom encouraged me to stop thinking about it and move on. And that’s what I did. 3. Just because a family is dysfunctional, doesn’t mean that there’s no hope. There is still hope.
@isabelbeckerman12623 жыл бұрын
I feel for you, Alan. I hope you're doing better after all the climatic episodes have taken place between you and your family. As far as Debra is concerned, if I may be abrupt, and although it's only a television series, it's no surprise she has ill-temperaments with her confounding in-laws. It shows because she couldn't confront them about their meddling and controlling ways, all the more reason they're always coming unannounced in her house daily without a sliver of consideration. She restrains herself from defending herself and resigns to self-depreciation when Marie delightfully gorges her with her inflicting condescending and belittling assertions. And sonny boy Raymond? Talk about a putz who's scared of his own mother and couldn't side with Debra. He's such a mama's boy it's a wonder he's a man who happens to be wearing pants. He should be wearing a girly dress instead of being gutless and aloof for not standing up for himself as a family man should. But for this clan, is there hope for the dysfunctional Ramones? Not likely.
