Thank you for this, Coomaraswamy is criminally underappreciated. Although it should be pointed out he was Sri Lankan not Indian. Nonetheless, valuable video.

AK Coomaraswamy's works will never be popular, just due to the metaphysical depth of his writings; they are too esoteric for most. In the spirit of Tradition, it is more about the quality of people who read it, not the quantity. Having said that, thank you for providing these. I hope that those who find them will be helped along in thier artistic and spiritual development. God bless.

Still don't understand why most people think that the theoretical aspect of photography is bullshit. Photography is obviously another form of art. God for bid people should expand their knowledge further than just what they know about their cameras. Finally, someone who will actually tell you to expand your mind. You sir, are a great teacher.

With a DSL connection, the web server kept timing out and the software indicating the file download was completed. I downloaded the file to my smartphone using DSL and Wi-Fi. Any Wi Fi connection with a new smartphone should work. Those having Internet timeout problems might want to do it that way.

OK I found it here on YT: "Angry Photographer: Best texts ever on Art Theory. FREE downloads Dr. A.K.C. I own the rights" I have read 'The Transformation of Nature In Art' - or well I tried many years ago and it was a bit rough going for me. Maybe today I could do better. Thank you for this. Oh and PS, really appreciated your work on original Buddha before the isms. What I could find of it anyway. Wish there was more. You have tapped my own mind on this - after 2 decades looking onto what serves as "Buddhism" - but I have no way of getting to this as do you. Again, thanks.

Mahn... how could your videos haven`t zillion views?!? You are one of the recently rare geniuses! There is a lot to learn from you not just at photography but many other fields. I guess the reason is the proof that the world is surely goes towards the way of bullshitness and doucherry. Maybe is your unconventional style of expressing, but f*ck yeah... you are really "doing your way"! :) Your meta is not just to save us ordinary peoples $$ for choosing gear... from light-speed miles could be saw that you are unselfish preaching! Greetings from Macedonia!!! Keep doing your good work and BE AWESOME!!!

it is important to define beauty. Art that is created to shock or horrify, or to glorify or elicit sin (violence, lust, greed) cannot be called “beautiful.” It is still “art” but not art that glorifies God. Art that glorifies God must have the same two properties as the designs created in Exodus 31. First, it must be “artistic”; that is, it must be creative, well executed (a good representation of the object) and well crafted (well made). It must have worth as an object of value. Second, it should be something of which the artist can say, “God put it in my heart to make this.” God will not put in an artist’s heart to make things that will elicit sinful responses in others (Mark 9:42). He will not lead a person to create that which contradicts His nature. Artisans who create idols may be skillful (Isaiah 40:19), but they’re using their skill to pervert God’s glory, not honor it. This doesn’t mean that all art has to be like the Sistine Chapel, however, or that it can only depict biblical subjects like Jesus on the cross or the disciples in a boat. God dwells in “the perfection of beauty” (Psalm 50:2), and His holiness is beautiful (1 Chronicles 16:29 and Psalm 29:2). In creating God-glorifying art, the artist’s goal should be to lift the soul of man towards heaven and to illumine in new ways the multi-faceted beauty of God’s holiness, power and grace. There are literally millions of ways artists can depict God's glory. Their creativity and the skill that God has placed in their hearts and hands will guide them to create art that will help us transcend the ugliness and pollution of this world. Artists, musicians, authors, and all who have this common mission are a special and valuable part of God’s kingdom.

I work at a recycling center and had someone bring in a box of pre-turn of the century Greek philosophy books and I set them aside to try and find a home for them but on a day off I had the workers grabbed the box and recycled the books. So somewhere a person is wiping there ass with recycled Greek philosophy toilet paper.
