You can communicate or otherwise spend some time with your pets and even give them attention or just let them know what's going on from ANYwhere, at anytime. You don't have to be home or physically with them. Same goes for loved ones and people in general. I don't "own" any animals at the moment but my neighborhood dogs like even just a little attention sometimes, which is easy for me to provide. Even if just to say "Hi! I'm sleeping right now!" when they bark, which quietens them right down or even include them in meditations during which you are meditating some enjoyment watching all of your past pets run and play and swim and roll around in the grass while you sit in a lawn chair, watching and drinking a nice glass of iced tea with this one or that one coming to you for a quick ear scratch or quick little belly rub before they run off to play some more! You are no more confined to proximity than you are to English, when communicating and spending time with the animals you know or have known in the past. NOR do you need to get close to wild animals, strays or even insects to say "Hello!" or otherwise show them some sort of respect. You can give respect or attention or play with ANY animal, anytime and from anywhere. And they can communicate with YOU from any distance!

A dog trainer taught me to use "No" only as a modifier - adjective, adverb - meaning "you didn't do what I meant," e.g., "Taxi. No taxi. Taxi!" (Commands should always be put in positive terms, like "Leave it " or "Get down " or "High Five!") Works for cats, too.

Lydia held a wonderful conversation with our greyhound Maggie two years ago. Their exchange was so amusing. I would recommend Lydia for your four legged companions.

Great video. I have had amazing experiences with Lydia over many years. She has helped me with my Collies during the best of times and through very difficult times in their later years. I will always be eternally grateful to her for all she has done.

Is Lydia Hiby Vegan? It would've been interesting and pertinant to know what she thinks of factory farming, and as such a prominant vegan as you are, AJ, I was a bit disappointed that you didn't ask about this. She didn't seem to like talking about or going to zoos, that indicates that factory farming might be worse? Please interview her again asking these types of questions. As another commentator pointed to, I don't trust someone who speaks for pets, but not for farmed animals.

Great video! For any of you who have consulted with her-how do I receive the phone number to call after I use pay pal to pay her? Do you then receive an email? I don’t see any way to contact her on her website. Thank you for any information!

I loved your video...but you might consider putting some sort of furniture in that area your in to absorb some of the sounds there. Your interview on your end of it, is very echoing... Like a pounding of your voice into a tin can...

I was really enjoying this - my dogs are both vegan - they are thriving on this and very happy calm, kind and compassionate dogs - when this lady started talking about feeding the animals chicken and fish thats when I stopped watching - how can you talk to some animals and feel compassion for them and no compassion for the chicken or Fish ?? Dogs and Cats can be vegan also xxx peace ✌️ Mxxx
