As someone that binged the first season a year after it ended, i have to say this video perfectly expresses my exact feelings though for me, the visuals were of less concern because I was used to binging shows like One Piece which is also animated by Toei so you can see where I'm going with this haha. But honestly this is the first video of yours I've watched and I had to subscribe, everything from the editing to the way you scripted this video kept me invested for a full 19 minutes and that's so hard to do for me because I struggle to stay focused on any one thing But I LOVE how you made real life parallels and how much that resonated with me because I have things I want to do that I don't necessarily have the affinity for. Maybe that's why I relate to Mikumo 😭. I also LOVE Mikumo and Kuga's friendship I swear! I almost feel like binging the first season again. And omg omg omg YES Season 2 was fucking spectacular from beginning to end. And the fact that ssason 3 was announced only makes this so much better!!!!

Not sure how someone can make a video about World Trigger without bringing up why it went on hiatus for so long... It was really cool how other manga artist and fans were so supportive of the creator when they had to go on hiatus due to health reasons. From what I saw, Jump was supportive and basically said World Trigger would be welcomed back when the artist was ready to start again, and a bunch of other artist did fanart for him to help keep interest alive and show their support. And oddly enough the anime just finished covering a team with incompatible members and the current arc of the manga is actually setting up situations where all the squads are mixed into new provisional squads and egos are already starting to clash. For the most part though, the reason you don't see incompatible teams is that most of the show's time is spent with high ranking members who've had multiple drafts of their current squad and more or less have settled into comfortable place with their teammates.

what's nice about this anime is 1 thing: realism ! yes, while other animes are filled with clichés like "the main protagonist is weak af but with the power of friendship he beats the bad guy in the last moment -somehow" this shit doesn't happen in World Trigger, you have a weak main character that is expected to win due to -plot, yet he keeps losing because it's naturally expected (since he is weak af) but he somehow manages to win at the end by using his brain and tactics given to him by others. you get interested in this anime because you start to invest into characters that help each others and grow together to achieve their goals rather than winning because "plot" in a way that doesn't make any sense, this anime is hands down the most realistic anime i have ever seen.

@garobatintali3 жыл бұрын

World Trigger does a very interesting thing with the concept of the Shounen protagonist. There are two quintessential features of a shounen protagonist: A, the will and drive to change the world around them. B, the power to carry out their will. World Trigger however explores these two ideas separately by splitting them into two separate characters, Mikumo and Kuga. Mikumo has a great deal of drive and willpower, but lacks the power to carry out that will. Kuga has a great deal of power and experience, but lacks the drive or goals to obtain. It is only when these two come together that progress is made, and that each other develops that which they lack, while also examining them in detail. Mikumo for example, his lack of power despite his immense drive, frankly comes across as suicidal at times. He often tries to protect others even when he lacks the power to even protect himself, and it damn near gets himself killed on a number of occasions. It's only through his understand of his own weakness, as well as accepting support from thous who are strong, that he is able to grow and obtain a strength of his own, the ability to bring people together and support the dreams of others. As well as slowly becoming actually strong, even if he may never be as strong as some of his friends. Kuga on the other hand is examined in a couple of different ways. First is established that regardless of how powerful he his, he still needs help and support just for the day to day living, as in peace, power is pointless. Then later we see that regardless of how OP his black trigger is, at the end of the day there is only so much one person can do, and Border can win with numbers alone if need be, should he ever go against them. This is illustrated in a character that could be considered a mirror to Kuga, Enedra. A neighbor with loads of power with a black trigger, no real long term goals, just immediate wants, which in this case is war and battle. We see how destructive such unrestrained power is, but also how ultimately self defeating it is in the end. Power without purpose is either destructive or pointless. It is only through the help of his friends that Kuga comes to find purpose and goals to strive for. World Trigger may not be the flashiest of series, but it is a very smart series. And I am glad that people are coming around to it.
@ilikememes14023 жыл бұрын
I seriously agree and have the same opinion, osamu is misunderstood by some people that he still weak but he does get better physical power wise (compare him on 1st chapter and at the latest) and as a person. Experience is needed more than power, Osamu has been doing border work for a short time but yuga and all the other agents at border are naturally gifted or experienced. Chika is gifted and Yuga has experience, Osamu is the leader of them all because he gives out reason and is wise overall. The author is making him grow as a leader than of a person who can beat ass just because he's been trying so hard, things arent like that for everybody so as yuga said he needs "time" a steady effort of doing things you cant rush to be op My take on the series for now

When I watch a Dota match or a chess match between two GMs, a big part of the fun is trying to predict the actions the players are going to take. This is possible, if you are knowledgeable enough on the game and on the players, because such games have very well established rules and given certain circumstances using strategy you are able to narrow your perspective onto only a few course of actions. Knowing the players allows to further limit the number of choices. World Trigger is one of the few manga that has managed to give me the same feeling. The fights not only make sense strategically, but they feel like they flow naturally from start to finish and that the characters always take the course of actions that make the most sense. Also the characters are great!

World Trigger is such a masterpiece! It is my favorite anime ever. Even tho season 1 starts slow and the art isn't the best, the story is solid and the characters are amazing! There isn't any anime that brings so much attention to other side characters. I love the variation and interactions of different border members and their enemies. Most importantly, everything makes sense. I love this showw!!

I remember seeing the cover and I held up on it, but just like you, once I saw those first few episodes, I was hooked. Everything was explained fairly well, that there were rarely any plot holes, and as someone who has watched so much anime, it's refreshing. This anime really picks up best when the team rank battles start. Ever since I finished this show, I've been wanting a 2nd season, and I'm glad it finally got that chance!

It got a 2nd season because there was finally enough source material. The author had some health issues and couldnt continue, especially at the pace shonen jump demands. World trigger honestly is amazing. I've stuck with it since the first season and was so happy when season 2 got announced. The way how they handle characters is brilliant. Just about everything feels grounded although it is fantasy which is one of the big reasons I love it. The fights are so strategic that when you see a plan come together you can't help but go "yeah that was a 5head moment." I could go on and on but I think this video put the respect on it's name it so rightfully deserved.

I love world trigger. The power system is so comprehensive and well thought-out that you can see every minor detail in action and know why it's being done. For example someone deactivating their bagworm when going on full defense because they need an extra trigger to defend. It's never explicitly stated but you can slow down a fight scene and follow exactly what's happening. It's such a well flawless system in that regard. We as viewers are fully aware of all the limitations of the power system but we're still surprised when someone pulls out some fresh application. Kuga's grasshopper moves are a perfect example of this. That and the fact that there are maybe 30 characters that are fully fleshed out and interact with each other in their own unique ways. They're pretty much all different and memorable in their own way. Truly impressive.

This gave me chills. There are some animes out there that are simply underrated and when you decide to give them a chance you just get confused at “how can people dislike this and like that?”. I started watching this after a sort of a crisis, consequence of many of my favorite shows ending. I needed to find something that wasn’t 12 episode long, you know, that could give you the time to create a bond with characters. Every episode just made this evolve into something completely different from other shonens. I liked this so much that when I found out that the 2nd season was just 12 episodes long (what an irony) I stayed in bed devastated for the rest of the day
