I totaly agree with you VOH is, for me the single most beautifull music i've listen. And in general, made in abyss ost are able to mix feelings like sadness and happiness so well that wich one is it. (Small anecdote, it was VOH that introduced me to made in abyss, and when i listened to it, i asked miself what scene needed something like it), if there are any orthograph problemes, sorry i'm french😅

No, I agree with the movie being the weakest of the three. The primary reason is runtime. Things go by so fast, that many can't seem to attach to Prushka much and quickly become desensitized to overall cruelty.

@@Gnevnyj I honestly liked the movie the MOST, I felt like it was the biggest example of ''quality over quantity'' since it had way less time than both seasons, yet for me atleast it still stuck the landing better. Bondrewd is an S-tier antagonist and a S-tier character, the ost was a 10/10 as usual, and I really enjoyed the story and plot progression.

That's a cool idea! Would skirt around the more obvious issues with adapting the story into a live action as well. The abyss is such a cool setting, you could plug in just about any story beats and still have something great

Not just Lyza. Show how her entire generation climbed through the ranks, found treasure after treasure but then were drawn in by the Curse and descended into madness. It would be awesome to have them end it on the climb with their precious package, and end it at the orphanage. It could still start as a coming of age movie but with lower stakes, and transition from maze runner into psychedelic body horror.

it is amazing how made in abyss can both be the most amazing thing youve ever seen and quickly turn into "I cant recommend this to people anymore" on a dime. Its just an amazing experience and if someone is more into anime and its tropes its much easier to recommend. Also i love all 3 parts of the show and categorize em as the 3 horrors which when you do it makes everything make sense. Season 1 was the horror of the abyss and the existential dread it can bring. The movie was the horror of human progress and what we are willing to do to improve our knowledge and season 2 is the horror of human survival, what we are willing to do to just survive. such an amazing show!

Season 1 and 2 are soo amazing!! The movie felt too dark and had little sense of adventure, so I'm glad you voiced against it too. One reason I liked Season 1 so much is because they executed great while also keeping the adventure fast-pace. I feel like Season 2 slowed down, but its still a great direction for the series. The experience of going deeper into the abyss is that their journey is supposed to keep getting harder and slower.

no fr made in abyss is my guilty pleasure its such a underrated gem its so unnecessarily good with its characters music art world and story you can dive so deep into lore and theories that it feels like nothing on screen is shown accidently tryna piece everything together is amazing it shard to express how this anime makes me feel cause its in my top 3 but its so hard to talk about or recommend to people because the creators a lil sus the animes definitely is way better and fixes alot of the problems but theres still seens that are just weird and the manga should straight up be illegal but i read it cause idk if were gonna get another season 😭

captured my thoughts abt it perfectly. the worldbuilding, scenery, and music all made me fall in love with it and then theres just the author's really weird decisions and scenes that just come off plain creepy and it just completely ruins it for me. would unironically be my favorite OAT if it werent for that.
