This game feels so perfect right away! I’m a huge 3D software nerd and I adore the attention to detail in these environments. When I start learning how to make scenes and environments myself for the characters I’m modeling, I’m certainly going to reference this game. I’ll probably buy it soon to make that possible - and enjoy the interesting life of an ant! Thanks for sticking around and still making awesome content, I’ve been watching this channel since I was 7 and it brought me through seriously hard times. Also, it influenced my artistic hobbies a lot, which are a huge part of who I am now! Somehow you turned me into both a computer and nature geek… For context, I’m working on a personal project where I teach myself how to use Blender for character modeling, sculpting, rigging, texturing, and eventually animation. I have lots of different types of characters, but right now I’m working on dragons. Most people would put huge dragons in a normal sized world, where dragons tower above trees and stand on mountains like mounds, but I want to take a different approach. In order to do that however, I need to make convincing and highly detailed scenes and character models and learn how to render them really well. I want everything to be huge where the dragons dominate the lands, as if their species influenced the evolution of the ecosystem around them to match their size. Huge scenes like this are my favorite, otherwise everything seems a little too bland in my eyes. It can even make if more difficult to fit a camera into small rooms like this. In this world I’m creating, dragons come from vastly different backgrounds, meaning some are as small as butterflies while others can stand 20ft tall. As a civilization lead by a specialized monarchy, architecture was inevitable, as was trade and mingling between these sub-species. Buildings are of vast shapes and sizes down to the tiniest detail, and I seriously want to reflect this in my work. If you read this much, thanks for hearing me ramble about my work! hey beaves! A tip I found out by playing the demo: if you control one legion, and send them toward the icon of another legion, they'll follow that legion! I've used this for a few things, like giving workers a legion of soldiers to protect them, or making all my fighting legions follow the guy that'll be in front so i only have to control the front guy and the rest automatically follow him!!

This game is awesome! I’ve been playing it and no frame drops (doesn’t matter to me either way particularly), I love RTSs more than any other game type! Two things I wish were different: coop vs. A.I. a full custom skirmish setup, like Age of empires did way back and even Halo Wars 2. And it would be cool to be able to check out your best; albeit they do a good job balancing it.

To save some people confusion, there isn’t coop at all. They were clear there is multiplayer and custom skirmishes but you can FFA 3v3, 1v1v1 and that’s it. You CAN hang out with a friend’s ant while your armies clash which is fun 👍

The empire of the ants series it mentioned is a french book series and Bernard Werber is the author, in french it’s called ‘Les fourmis’ or ‘the ants’, I read the trilogy a while back in french, it was pretty cool, it’s awesome that it’s got such a cool game adaptation, might pick it up at some point.
