This guide is a bit dated now. Ill update it for UE5 launch but in the interim, drop archery, lower str to 28 and get more psyche and con and lean more into mage. You can also fit beast master in. Also drop to lean weight for speed or go up to fat if you're comfortable blocking. Max blocking too. Fat veela veela mages run 434 movement speed. GL out there boys

With Sheevra you'd get more action point bonuses I think, esp w/ changes you're suggesting to lean more mage. Seems like can still go same height too. Is there an important reason for double veela other than more dex for more movespeed? Veteran MO1 player looking to start MO2 soon, used to love the Sheevra for hiding in the dark too

Why drop strength to 28? I know clade gives +20 strength for bows but what kind of bow are you using at 48 str? Thanks in advance :)

Hey! Would this work on a short (160cm) full Sheevra? I know I would have to sacrifice some movement speed, but the extra attribute points could be used for more strength (68, for that 0% damage bonus too), and the rest into more intelligence or constitution or whatever. Again, I know the loss of speed would be bad for PvP but this build would only be a stopgap for me before I switch to Necro and I really don't want to re-roll AGAIN lmao. Love your guides and would love to see one for a Thursar passive regen Footie in one of the next ones! Have a great day

Yes it works on a sheevra, you can go min height for more points and less melee, Ive played both extensively. They are both fun/viable. Being taller makes your reach with daggers better too, just consider that

Hi I'm sure you've probably played enough to figure it out now, but just in case.. Or in case any other new players drop by: it's because of rate of attack. You have a limited number of powerful spells you can cast before you drain your mana, and most of the ones that hit hard have limited range. Unless you're in the top 5% of mages you're going to miss a few spells per encounter and still waste the mana. Also, can't increase horse speed while casting, can't turn while casting. With a shortbow and mounted archery you can repeatedly shoot arrows in quick succession for a little stamina. Missing is less punishing. You can fire off two arrows in the time it takes to charge a spell.

Lvl 50ish horse + whatever the max bird that goes with it. Heavy horse armor because you out pace the bird anyways might as well be beefier

On the attributes part, when it says dex 121(+4) does that mean you have 125 dex or is thet 4+ included in that total?

I played a lot of foot fighting builds and after a while I found that the Blocking skill is not really that useful since I observed that it only covers the blocks not parries. And I don't hold my blocks, I parry a lot which means I get free points from blocking almost all the time. The real use of blocking skill might be for tank builds that can stand their ground against the mino boss etc. I'm wondering if you have tested this as well

Blocking in mo1 decreased the amount of chip damage you took from blunt weapons like axes and hammers as well as powerful AI attacks. with 0 blocking you could take up to 30 damage on parry.

@@zorin7158 parry has a window and can trigger a heavy hitting counter attack. If you hold parry long it only becomes a block and you dont get the counter attack opportunity. In my experience parry blocks more damage compared to a block. But some creatures cannot be parried, only be blocked like most wild animals etc.

Looks and sounds fun, if I had a second account I'd love to try it. I've found that I'm less of a fan of straight footie builds and prefer mage/hybrids more. I just like having multiple options when it comes to combat. I know footie/MA is effective but I think I would get bored if my kit was solely dedicated to that playstyle. I'm looking forward to more magic options and would like to see slight damage buffs but would be happy with reduced mana cost on damage spells specifically.

They patched the infinite parry glitch I tried with full armor spamming one guy couldn't even get through the first bandit they just kept attacking me Multiple times.

If I were in a Duo with someone who's a MA with some healing magic, could I switch over to an Oghrim with more focus on melee but still be a tamer? Bit new so not sure how well it'd work. The basic idea is to just have a bear/wolf/terrorbird to help me fight one or two people while my ally pecks at them from his horse. The tames are, honestly, more for keeping the enemy away from my ally more than anything else.

You can't have a horse and pet at the same time without ruining the rest of your build. That is the main reason tamer is a dumb build. I wouldn't bother with it.

Use the pet tab on the build website to mix and match what you want to see what you can afford. I really enjoy lvl 75ish bird with the biggest horse I can get

way over exagerating how strong pets are. The armors are high enough now that footies will take less then 10 damage a hit from bears for example while they are doing 80+ damage to the pet. Its very weak against footies and bowmen.

@@Devildog0491 yeah good vid for sure but your missing my point. They had reptile or something close to that on. And they where all villas. Your bird isnt gonna do that damage to steel and if your fighting a thursar hes just gonna get free heals on your pet.
