The professor sees the list of vegetables which are all plurals. He also sees 'Carrot's' which he thinks is the incorrectly written plural of 'carrots'. But 'Carrot's' with the apostrophe is written that way because the owner of the shop (n.b. not the shop's owner - see video for explanation) is Mr Carrot. So 'Carrot's' is a shop sign not a vegetable. We would write in English 'I'm going to Carrot's to buy some vegetables'.
