My arabian stallion is a true black with 3 socks and a star. The first time I looked into his eyes I was owned. He is very spoiled but still minds his manners. He knows he can usually get a special treat just by looking adorable. Those big brown eyes get me every time.

you are sooo lucky . did u know this colore is the favorite in prophet mohammad . its mentioned in old books he said. the most valuable horses is the black with white sign in his forehead and three white legs the left arm is black . and he said also white mark in the nose . you r so lucky

@@alwssofy7748 The white snip on his nose can only be seen during the colder months unless you look very closely. It's much easier to see when his coat gets thicker in the winter. I didn't learn the history of the color and markings until after I'd gotten him. Thank you for confirming this for me although an Egyptian friend did tell me a few years ago.

@@alwssofy7748 His left arm is the black one and each white foot has a tiny black heart shaped marking just above the heel of each white foot.

Most white horses, including "white" Arabians, are not white, they're grey -- born another color, they whiten with age. Does this mean the Bedouin saw [still] grey horses as symbolizing success and victory, or only the ones that had fully whitened with maturity?

That was a good question.

The Bedouins, the bedouins, the bedouins. Can't you say the Arabs? The bedouins are only part of Arabs, they are the nomad Arabs. There are many other types of Arabs and they all revere the Arabian horses and are entrenched in the identity and culture of Arabs.

I see more deth and truth with the bedouins than arabs, cus the main souce of the arabian horse was from the middle of Arabia, which is bedouins.. No doubt other arabs from other places participated but the origin is bedouin tribs

Pay attention Arabian people..real arabians were war horses..ie brave. Entered tents ie brave and calm. NOT BRED FOR PRETTY. I knew a stallion like that. He was the only horse us kids were allowed to play with UNATTENDED, and he was halter broke, but that's it.
