So here is a theory since im bored at work: Camber is outdated and redundant. Bear with me: With the introduction ofrocker system with added contact points and hybrid camber profiles with funny sidecuts, couldnt you make the above mentioned claim? These newer profiles have a ton of upsides with not much of any downsides, whereas traditional camber has quite alot of downsides? Ofc, I know some prefer it, but some people also prefer to use heroin as a cough suppressant back in the day. Or does nothing compare to tradtional camber still?

In a round about sort of way you're correct. Camber 2.0 couldn't have been created if we didn't go 180 degrees away from traditional camber.

Looking at the Coda series...Wondering how the Rocker carves better than the Camber...It's too bad the Camber review was with a board on the smaller end of the spectrum. I wonder if rider weight was the overall contributor to the washout...? Otherwise, they seem like awesome boards. Appreciate the reviews.

This right here is why it's not that great. Uprise Fenders pull the outside contact zones off the snow with angled 3° risers on all System Camber designs. You're losing that edge bite you need with camber.

Yo Angry , hope u can help me here. Im 100% going to pick up either the coda rocker or coda camber but I cant make up my mind which one I should get. maybe you could help a brother out. my stats 6' 182 lbs, 20 + yrs riding experience. been on indoor survival rocker boards for the past 8 yrs. started on traditional camber way back in the day. I ride east coast not much pow but get out west once a year and Hit pow days here whenever possible here. riding style is charging every thing I can , groomers, trees, somewhat of a all mountain freestyle rider, but also love going fast and railing turns. dont hit much rails,jumps - med size park jumps but I usually jump, spin slash everything I can on the runs. presses , butters , love to mess around etc etc. I do miss the chargability of camber but dont want something catchy that will take away the boards playfulness if I dont land 100%. loved my rocker boards but miss the stability of the camber. I guess I want the best of both worlds. maybe im asking , which one does everything "better" , HEEELLPPPPPPPP lol

Honestly bud the Coda is going to be too soft for you, you might want to venture over to the Element.

@@AngrySnowboarder Shit really????? I thought the coda would be a good mix of all mt and freestyle. Cool ill have to start looking harder into the element. how bout the camber vs rocker in my situation with arbors tech? thanks again man
@AngrySnowboarder
@AngrySnowboarder 5 жыл бұрын
Part of me thinks camber would be the way to go and part of me thinks you need some rocker in your life but from a board that's a bit stiffer. That's why I think the Element would better suit you.

@@AngrySnowboarder Right on Brother, thanks for taking the time. watching your element rocker video right now. you say it can still rail a turn but play around with presses. then I'll stick with rocker. I was only going back to camber for its hard charging abilities but didnt want to give up any playfulness. hey man you have any affiliates with shops? meaning if I use your link you get some kick back. id like to throw some support your way if I could.

Trying to decide between the rocker and cambered coda for a resort daily driver that can swivel through moguls and tight trees with ease. thinking the Rocker would be the ticket but given that I am a similar build and boot size to you, should I go with a 156cm or a 158cm? Not going to be hitting the park an extensive amount but I make the occasional pass through and I have a dedicated pow/slush board.

5’8 180 what size do you recommend with what binding? Rocker or Camber? Am an intermediate boarder. Want to focus on carving, and minor in jumps/rails.

Would a 157 MW Westmark Rocker do about the same as a 158 Coda Rocker as a quiver of one type of board?

So i got big ass feet (size 14) but arbor readily only makes MW boards, would I need to get a wide? Or would MW work?
@AngrySnowboarder
@AngrySnowboarder 3 жыл бұрын
You'll want anything that's 26.5 or wider at the waist.

What are the differences between this one and the Iguchi rocker?
@AngrySnowboarder
@AngrySnowboarder 6 жыл бұрын
This is softer and more uniform than the Iguchi and it's not directional.
@sengland5715
@sengland5715 4 жыл бұрын
Is the Iguchi rocker or Coda rocker funner carving groomers?
@AngrySnowboarder
@AngrySnowboarder 4 жыл бұрын
Fun is subjective. The big thing to ask yourself is are you a more weight forward or a weight back rider. If it's more forward then Coda if it's a little more favoring the back foot Iguchi.

How does this compare to the turbo dream? I'm looking to get a freeride board that really floats in the pow, but can still rip a groomer. Any other suggestions? Ive watched a fuck ton of your videos and i now feel more lost as to what i should buy than i was before haha.
@AngrySnowboarder
@AngrySnowboarder 5 жыл бұрын
It's going to be noticeably softer. The New K2 Manifest basically replaces the Turbo Dream but you might like something like the Rome Sawtooth, Ride Berzerker or Commissioner, maybe even a Mountain Pig, The Rossignol Angus or a Jibsaw HD, Yes PYL, Gnu Mullair. Those are all comparable.

What board do you suggest as a board to hit the mountain Hard but butter and 270 jibs with the boys after some beers? Was leaning towards a battalion evil twin. I have a trs hp for powder charging days, so I just want something park and fun
@AngrySnowboarder
@AngrySnowboarder 6 жыл бұрын
Evil Twin definitely fits that bill. It really comes down to what camber profile, flex, and shape you want as there's so many great options for that.

Thinking about picking this up right now on REI for $385. Watched a few other reviews and they all seem to stress the torsional stiffness of this board with the tri-ax over bi-ax and the 2 bamboo rods along the rails. I also noticed that the stiffness rating is a 7. From all of your feedback below you seem to consider this a softer board. Can you clear this up for me? I'm coming from a Rome Reverb Rocker, which I really like but wanted to try something similar from a different manufacturer and hopefully a little more durable.
@AngrySnowboarder
@AngrySnowboarder 4 жыл бұрын
Certainly. Most reviews are shit. This will be a little stiffer than the reverb rocker.
