It seems like this was a kind of disappointing ride, sorry to hear that, because I liked the old iterations of the sickstick. I'm interested as to how this is similar to the Antidote though. I picked one up at the end of last season, and the thing is super stiff and poppy, and is full camber, which kind of sounds like the opposite of this deck. Just kind of wondering why it was a comp other than that it's also a freestyle/freeride hybrid deck.

I have the TF and just bought an Otto for the switch riding thinking it would sacrifice some carving ability but damn the Otto holds a heel edge way better for me (might be the bindings though? TF + cartel vs Otto + union falcor). Need to try the TF with the Unions.

Thanks for the review TC! Was waiting for this one. I’m looking into buying a passport this year and was surprised you rode a 160 at 160lbs. I’m 170lbs and 5 foot 9 and was thinking between the 154 and 157. I’m coming from a party platter and excavator so I don’t want it to feel too long for the trees, but I also don’t want the 154 to feel too short. Boots are a 7.5 so width is not an issue. Any suggestions for me?

I’m 6’3, 230# with size 12 boots. Is the 157 doable or better on 161? Afraid the wider width of the 161 will take away the nimbleness of the board.

You have a size 12, you're fine with a wider board. Either will work for you.

I have MS and the numbness in my legs poses it's own challenges. I want to learn to do butters and I'm thinking of getting the Rome Gangplank with the Union Ultra bindings. Do you think this setup will sufficiently help me with this? I've been snowboarding for the last few years, and just recently got a Jones Mind Expander, which made me realize that my setup can potentially really help and make things easier. I've been riding the 2021 Salomon Sight with the NOW IPO bindings, and just recently tried 27/12, which helped a ton to improve my carving. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I snowboard in Ontario :/
@AngrySnowboarder3 сағат бұрын
100% that set up would help you with butters. The Flat to Rocker profile on the Gangplank is very easy to get your weight on the nose and tail to press it. The Ultra is a very surfy binding. Only concern with that binding is the natural forward lean in it. With MS that might pose a problem, it might not.

I was torn between this board and the arbor candle rain, I ended up ordering the candle rain mostly because it was on sale , but I like the fact that arbor is very green and sustainable, and I say several videos saying the rain and aeronaut are very similar, after hearing how good and fun this capita is and the fact that the rain was very comparable I couldn’t pass up picking up a new 2024 at nearly half price.
@R1squid19 сағат бұрын
I just bought the 2024 version (yellow) in 155, I’m about 5’10 150, I slapped on my 2024 Burton cartel x bindings , and have the vans aura pro boots…. I enjoy speed , weather it’s above the tree line or in the trees or on the groomers laying down carving, I rarely hit rails, but love jumps, and drops racing my buddies, my old board was a 20 year old camber board and 161cm instead of the 155 I got on the rain. I’ve rode the Rossi juggernaut and capita aeronaut.. I think this board will be perfect for me… I don’t mind cartwheeling down a bowl or separating my shoulder sure it sucks but the thrill right before shtf is untouchable. But at almost 28 my years are numbered

Thanks for the review. I’m definitely going to upgrade to the Assassin this year! But, I’m undecided on the size between 156 and 159. I’m 5’9”, weigh 195 lbs, and wear a size 9 boot. The size chart says my weight would put be out of the range for the 156, but I’m leaning 156 anyway because I almost never rip faster than 35 mph. Generally, I’m looking for a versatile board that’d be the only board I own in Colorado. Do you recommend a certain size for me or can I go either way?

Hi, not sure if you'll answer, but I'll give myself a try. I'm looking at all your KZbin videos, I love them. I just bought the Jones storm chaser 2025, and I have the ultra mind expander 2024.
