It seems you guys catch a mix of Arctic char and Dolly Vardens. Are there both in r. Tree?

They're spectacular fish in the Tree, but are they actually Dolly Varden, not Arctic Char. Dollies and Arctic char are closely related but distinct members of the char family. Don't know why Plummers continues to promote them as Arctic Char. There are also a few true Arctic char in the tree as well, but those 'tomato can' red-bellied fish are dollies.

Dolly Varden range does not include that part of the Arctic. Those are Arctic char.

@@KBosch-xp2ut Guaranteed those are dollies, and it is well known by DFO fisheries biologists who I have personally spoken with who work in the region. The Tree river is close to the eastern edge of the Dolly Varden range.

Well I mean the Olive garden is just a landlocked Arctic char and Arctic char just like brookshire during spawn season in the fall and what not the males will turn orange I'm not saying you're wrong but I think you're putting a little too much emphasis cuz either way be a Dolly Parton or Arctic char they're still Arctic char

I mean we have Arctic char here in the state of Maine which is in the lower 48 a native population the only state in the Union that has that can we call it the main Blue back trout or the maine sunapee trout but it's actually an arctic char

With that title you expect to see some flysfishing for arctic char but there is no flyfishing in this video, just some EXTREMELY short clips and then 98% talking....Definately dont make me want to go there.....
