I don’t like shooting either. It’s a lot of waiting and ppl pressuring you to qualify and it just takes all day. Usually it is way too hot. Closest I came to death was the range when a storm came thru. Lightning everywhere

Our son shipped out to Lackland 6/17, he's now in WOT 1 - so proud of him!. Funny, there is now a family chat that members are arguing (who know nothing about any military branches and never served, btw) that AF is the 'easiest' of all branches and BMT is a 'breeze'. LOL, my hubby and I are sitting back laughing because they have no clue!

Random question...I am going to be starting my recruitment process next year and was wondering if you have ever had any experience with an applicant who can not smell and if this might be an issue for me? I was born unable to smell and it's just been something I've lived with I have always been healthy with no medical issues. Thanks!

Hellooo! I’m glad you posted.. I just wanted to say that I am planning on joining the Air Force! I graduated high school in 2023 but couldn’t join because of weight issues (I had talked with a recruiter). After a lot of trials and tribulations I only have about 25 more lbs to lose (I had to lose 70). I have been binge watching all your videos since then (even rewatching) and I’m preparing myself for when I actually join! I just want to say thanks for putting also this information out there for people like me! ❤ also would you ever react to Navy basic training?

Hey! I hope all is well with you! Can I please ask you a few questions in regard to Airforce ROTC? I have been offered a two year scholarship in another state and they are willing to pay my jr and senior year and I will commission as 2nd lieutenant. However, once I become active duty or attend another 4 years of school, will they cover my freshman and sophomore year in the long run or will I have just payed out of pocket? Do you believe it is worth it to take the opportunity or explore my options in my home town with similar programs?

this is off-topic but i have always been curious if the military gives you all the equipment you need for free, or do they charge for all the gear. In this case in the sniper school, do they get those 3 types of sniper rifles for free, do they have to pay for them, or do they even have the option to buy them? or they gotta get their own sniper rifle later on.

As far as equipment goes, they don’t actually give them the weapons. They issue them weapons they can use while doing the job, but they have to return them. As far as gear like uniforms and stuff, the military will give you things like that when necessary.

Is it a requirement to get an associates degree in the Air Force ?

It’s not. They have an associates degree called a CCAF. It’s not required to have, but once you start getting into the higher ranks, they’ll definitely be expecting you to at least have that.
