Dude, are you serious!? You've basically turned your paint job skills from real cars to scaled models. It's insanely awesome! Even my car from the factory wouldn't have this quality of paint.

45 yrs ago I used to build model cars, trucks, boats.. Revell, was always my favourite "go - to" brand and some of those plastic resin kits would sure have looked spectacular (much like yours) if only I had a airbrush instead of a soft bristle horse haired paintbrush. Streaks from the bristles were always a common problem even if I lightly coated the final application with a thinner. Oh, those wonderful smells of Tester Paints in a glass bottle!

Good old Paasche model "H". My go to airbrush for 40 years. I've spent $100s on fancier airbrushes over the years, but when I want ease of use and cleaning, and consistent results I reach for my old model "H" every time.

Hey, help needed here please. I just bought an airbrush and compressor kit. I purchased a variety of premium Vallejo acrylic paints pre-mixed thinners. My paint doesnt come out like yours so wide and free flowing. I have only a 0.3mm nozzle and waiting for a 0.5mm. I'm doing muscle cars 1:24. Am I doing anything wrong? I tried candy black which was ok but gold ran like water. I would preferably like to have mine running like this video. I'd also like to know what PSI your on because it sounds high. Thx from Canada. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

early tips are still good for anyone like me working on warhammer 40k with airbrush. clean paint jobs need space as dust free as possible for a smooth finish. of course given i paint that and in scale model i go for military aircraft....weathering is our game lol. making them look used and like theyve been in real scraps. but i can still appreciate a showroom image for car. i have a dual action gravity feed so may take these tips on should i ever do cars again.

We use masking tape in painting real Cars 2. However, there are some pitfalls to worry about. The cheaper the tape, the more likely the tape is to leave residue behind. Such as glue. Blue tape, is a multi-surface tape. It is for taping together two types of surfaces that are dissimilar. Yellow tape, is designed to trap and lock in dirt. As well as fill large voids in panels, thus keeping down the turbulence as the gun moves over the surface. My recommendation is 2 fine line with 3M fine line tape, vinyl is good for making turns. And lock down your fine line with 3m green tape. The system was created to trap your color on the edge. This is known as The Edge lock system. Your color should not bleed through the tape if done correctly. Thus making crisper cleaner lines. As it is true on real cars, it should also be true with model ones.

Because every time I try to use a primer my paint jobs don't turn out so good. I normally don't use a primer and my cars turn out great. Any info would b helpful. Thx
@mrtrek6414 жыл бұрын
At 6:11 does he say the car was already clear coated? Something I don't understand is if the car was clear coated then how did he remove the scratch from the paint? Did he have to rub down passed the clear coat to get to the base coat and then apply new clear coat when finished? Unless the imperfection was on the clear coat and not the paint?
