My first Deathmatch I ever seen was Homeless Jimmy in a steel cage using everything as a weapon. The rest was history. He told me you cannot reenact any of these stunts. I was blown away. I mean wrestling is amazing but nothing beats Deathmatch wrestling

Death matches aren't my favorite matches but I truly believe they have their place. I have loved AEW encorporating more of that style into their product with the lights out matches. The wrestlers deserve more pay, what they do is crazy and they know it's not taking them to wwe

I remember coming across a death match compilation when I was younger on KZbin looking at old WWE clips. Something about it caught my eye and peaked my interest. I watched it and was amazed and kinda disturbed by what I saw but I watched more. I gotta respect these guys cause I damn sure wouldn’t have the balls to do this.

Deathmatch wrestling is the best wrestling. Proof being AEW uses it every week on there programming! I used to do it too but i got injured. The feeling of hitting your opponent with a lightube is something else! As for me I loved getting cut, bleeding and see how messy we could get and then go out and get drunk and forget about the pain. Nothing better. My only issue is theres so few deeper cuts in deathmatches cos things are too controlled now. If you watch the early TOD's exposed muscles and busting arteries was always happening. Like Sexxy Eddie squirting blood into the crowd from his arm, and Necro Butcher seriously gashed up you could see his muscles protruding from the wound. It adds more danger to the matches and thats what I love.
