Have you ever wondered how hackers and con artists manage to trick even the smartest people? Christopher Hadnagy’s Social Engineering: The Art of Human Hacking breaks down the mind-boggling tactics used by criminals to exploit human psychology and gain access to sensitive information. This video explores the fascinating yet terrifying world of social engineering, teaching you how hackers manipulate your trust, habits, and even your body language to infiltrate your life without you knowing. By understanding their methods, you’ll learn how to protect yourself in a world where your greatest weakness might just be your own behavior.

The clarity in presenting the idea is more than wonderful. Literally, I don't see anyone else on KZbin who is more prolific in conclusions than you. ... As for the idea of manipulation, yes, it is annoying to always fear this possibility in the other person, but often the needs and emotions behind this desire are also weaknesses as well. ... In the bigger picture, it is necessary to always trust in love, because by doing so you give yourself opportunities to enjoy the experience. Therefore, internal reform and psychological peace is a radical solution to manipulation. Because you are good with love and good without it, this applies to everything.

prolific in conclusions? oh, geez, i was gonna tease you bc this guy is kinda a clown, and that one phrase is utter nonsense, but the rest of what you said really resonated with me. like, i wanted to say something similar but i didn't really know how to say it either

over the years i have done some research into social engineering. now if you look at society as it is, i can honestly say there's a reason why society is the way it is. politics, business, economics, education and etc a lot of these areas in society also use social engineering to a high degree. it's why a lot of people managed to get conditioned into what to believe and how to think. took me some years to understand this and how my own brain gets hacked. i'll tell you an example: in high school we get punished for being tardy to class. this conditioning for example is in a sense social engineering to a degree, it's getting kids used to the idea of being on time. this simple thought converts over to the workforce when they get older, like in a job you get punished or so if you're late or no call no show. or how about the idea of asking permission to use the bathroom, this is akin to the idea of licenses in society. licenses are just a permission slip use to ask the government if you can do such and such. these are engineering mechanisms that are subtle to most people because they're raised in a society that never questioned such usage of things.

nope, i realized all the hoarding and locked doors i could possibly afford wouldn't see me through what's coming. i figured the best strategy is to build community, so i opened my doors and invited in my homeless neighbors to stay with me in my subsidized 1 bedroom apartment, until they, rather predictably, threw my ass out, lol! i was unsheltered for 2 days when a friend in my community invited me to stay with them, but a lot of people are still out there. i don't care about your petty criminals. private equity did this. ronald reagan and mitch mcconnell and joe mansion did this. bigshots like that. how can you call a petty confidence man a social engineer. it's like you think a mouse runs the circus

the businesses were themselves built on handshakes, smiles and whatever the 3rd thing was. they too had what someone like you would call credentials. people were hooked. it wasn't even a crime. officially, but that doesn't mean no one was scammed or that no one was harmed. you see kid, you can't even recognize how deep the con goes, but it's turtles all the way down baby!

you can manage to feel different tho', besides, my face, if other people are to be believed, doesn't alway accurately express what people think my feeling should look like... and what about people who aren't neurotypical. like those people who claim to be human lie detectors, that is a dangerous lie

don't you agree is already that regardless of tone. just like, they teach waitstaff now instead of saying, is everything okay, to say things like, is everything great. or when i sold vacuums instead of i have something to show you, we said, i have something for you to get in. they taught us to drop our pen after the demo, when the contract's out. now it's in your hand, that much closer to signing. then say nothing. they told me, whoever speaks first loses

Even this Video could be seen as manipulation.... It frames your perception into distrusting others. I'd say life is more of a coin flip, you can meet people who have your best interest or not. Its basicly luck.

how you gonna do an ep about human hacking and not talk about epcot. you have no scope. it's not that your shows are bad, very nice visually, arguments are well presented, but there's something missing. maybe that's it. you're not looking at the big picture. it doesn't sound like infographics: if you see this, turn and run, but really, that is the message. you ain't getting at the roots
