This is the biggest moment in the fgc. This is bigger than moment 37, the discovery of the Korean backdash, the invention of modern controls and the innovation that is rollback, there is nothing more important in all of fighting games than this very moment.

This is a strat from the old days of fighting games that is actually next to impossible to counter, it allows you to be unreadable by your opponent and thus always keep them on their toes which can be powerful for planning your attack. It is banned in every tournament however and it is stated in the rules of every tournament that assasins will come after you if you try this so you don't usually see it happen.

I had a similar experience like that once during winter break. I had only first touched Strive the day before (I don’t really play fighting games), and my friends and I, one of which played Strive with the goal of being competitive, went to an overnight lock-in at a lan arcade They had a custom made cabinet playing Strive, so I took the controls, Sol Badguy, and started mashing. I won, then kept winning. I had no idea what I was doing; between the bewildering victories and the sleep deprivation, I started laughing like a maniac. I was asked how I knew to perform the combos that I was pulling off, I could only force out, “I don’t know!” between bouts of laughter. Eventually, my mash mania wore off, and I had my ass summarily handed to me by my experienced friend (playing Happy Chaos), but those thirty minutes of mashed potatoes made my night.
