The Legends games finally breaking the usual blue n yellow colour scheme of the Pokémon logo really should have happened ages ago ZA's dark grey and pink Pokémon logo looks so fuckin nice

Also a fun detail, Scarlet has Koraidon facing towards the left, because that's the direction counterclockwise goes (aka back in time), while Miraidon faces the right for clockwise. With the titles being the way they are combined with this, the whole thing references time. A neat little detail that is really easy to miss lol.

I am so excited for Z-A, I was a child when X and Y launched and Zygard was my favourite Pokemon, and seeing every logo I was there to see revealed was a magical experience in nostalgia, I may play better JRPG today but Pokemon has a a big share of my heart, thank you for the video.

This was a nice look at the history and evolution of the box logos in Pokemon games through the series and over the years. And it's been almost three years since the release of Legends Arceus and people are still debating whether it's a mainline or spin-off game even though Game Freak and the Pokemon Company have officially clarified the Legends titles to be mainline games and not spin-offs. But since Game Freak and the Pokemon Company have said they belong in the main line, I don't think there should be an argument about it. And I understand very well that everyone has and can have their own opinion on the matter and Legends Arceus differs from traditional Pokemon games in that the linearity, roads, ledges, random encounters, trainer battles, gyms, Pokemon league and Elite four are gone and replaced by Jubilife Villages, five open area maps, boss battles and Pokemon that roam freely in the overworld which makes it feel like a non-mainline game according to some players. And that's understandable because LA is meant to be a different game that shakes up traditions and renews the franchise by being different.

It's really subtle, but a nice touch nonetheless. 21:33 I own a copy of this version of Violet and one thing about this you need to know. It can take up to THREE HOURS for the games to download, and if you just leave your Switch, there's a chance it might enter 'Orange Screen of Death' mode. 22:20 i am honestly confused on whether it's 'ZA' or 'Z to A', like the logo suggests

@scatt2233 The screen appears when the console is left connected to the internet and left idling, even in sleep. Although it doesn't happen all the time and I've only seen it happen twice (once was while downloading said copy of Violet). Thankfully it's not an actual indicator of anything wrong with the Switch itself-- it just does that I guess.

Don't forget that, because it's using letters instead of a name, the English and Japanese Pokemon Legends Z-A logos are... litterally 1-1 identical to each other, neat! The other langauages meanwhile translate the word Legends (And sometimes also Pokemon) Edit: The French, Italian, and Spanish ones also... move the word legends to ABOVE pokemon rather than below it, the white part just sort of... awkwardly connects to the line above the e.

So much this, if they had made a single game called pokemon eclipse? I would not have complained. It felt like a money grab and made sun and moon irrelevant, if you could have bought the extra content as dlc then the ultra versions could be considered a GOTY edition. It's a issue I have with Black and white (2) as well, Crystal did it better, Emerald did it better, Platinum did it better. Why they didn't stick to that dynamic I may never truly know (I do remember the rumors of pokemon Z). I sincerely doubt that in the modern zeitgeist, this switch Era, will ever have that third edition, but a trainer can dream.

The Beta SwSh main screen looked so cool. Post XY the games focused more on money that actual content. Who would thought two wolves with lethal weapons would fight a Goddam nuclear reactor! Also most of the new pokemon, well it makes me ashamed really. If they did up till XY, then did a Legends for each, then maybe an ultimate final game before other spinoffs, it woulda been far better

Actully the chinese logo are based on japanese logos only in gen 7 in gen 8 onward it uses the English logo as the basis
