Me from the UK. There are no rules when you are digging for Beats. Beats can be found in any genre of music. Rock music albums are always the unknown. This was good to see especially coming out of Chicago as I only see negative News stories about Chicago.

I can’t afford a table and wax these days so digging on tracklib has been my go-to. For $5/month I can dig around and give new life to otherwise forgotten tracks. Sometimes though a coffee shop in my city has an open night with an insane amount of vinyl so I can sample from that too :)

Yea. There are many sources to find samples nowadays. But going record shopping is an experience I enjoy. Thanks for watching!

Thank you bro!! So many beat makers just use youtube or sound libraries for samples and sounds. I think thats why alot of beats sound the same.

@@Smerzone I agree...it is all served on a plate...Magic is a bit gone but true diggers go miles to find hidden gems and golden nuggets...I do digging since 2007 goin' around Europe looking for markets and charity shops to get my hands on dusty crates.Record stores got really expensive in last few years over here...One love for carrying the tradition!

Yes. Vinyl has had a resurgence and the prices has risen. But you can still find gems at Thrift shops and your uncle's stash lol.

Try using a windscreen on your mic when you record outside, that way the audio comes out clearer. Great video!

How,or what do you use to mark the samples, while you're in the store?
@Smerzone2 жыл бұрын
I use a marker. I write on the record label I put a dot near the song title.

note to self...when digging always look out for them tracks with a dot near the song title.

Records are not easy to find these days and the only place they can be found is 1 charity thrift shops and 2 Flea markets. Many times I have seen charity shops literally fill up the dumpster with old Vinyl off on there way to landfill, shame. I dont have the space for keeping records.
@Smerzone2 жыл бұрын
You are right. But you can find independently owned shops that are still pushing vinyl like this one.
@HOLLASOUNDS2 жыл бұрын
@@Smerzone Not in the UK you cant, the only place selling vinyl like that is one guy who's always at the local Flea market.

@@multiple_miggs They get donated to charity shops after people die there house gets cleared out there kids dont want them. The charity get so many they throw about 80% in the bin.
