+BobSamurai Anime Reviews The founder of Madhosue and Mappa, Masao Maruyama said finishing Dream Machine is one of the things he wants to do before he dies. So is animating Naoki Urasawa’s manga Pluto and if possible the rest of Naoki's works.

The reason they dont finish it is because the difficulty finding a talent similar to Satoshi's, in words of Masao Maruyama, they will do it probably, but they dont want to rush it

One of my favorite directors of anime, when i read his letter before his dies, i fucking crying for inside that we lost to someone who could be made more masterpieces like the one that left us. Imagine the movies or series that we could be have if he was alive, R.I.P the great satoshi kon my respect for this men.

Satoshi Kon was an assistant for Katsuhiro Otomo (the creator of AKIRA) so his work at times may seem similar.
