Thanks for this video! I’m back to playing today after 20 years away, so needed a reminder.

should you check the air pressure in the stick before you tape it

I agree with this. I do this for my car tires as well.

Heel to toe vs toe to heal is so interesting to hear the logic behind it. Heel to toe say it goes with the snow, toe to heel say it goes with the puck rolling off the blade. Curious to know if there is any data to support either theory.

In my 20 years of experience, we always called that a left handed stick.😂

i think the video is inverter

Yup Even in the US 53 years of hockey

Indeed. That was a left handed stick.

@@pepesilvia3487 That's not like a 100% tip / rule or something. I am a righty in my everyday stuff but still play right handed when it comes to hockey.. it just comes naturally. Whilst I understand why the "invert" is recommended.. it's just not something that will always be the case. You just feel it naturally.

I remember being this meticulous with my tape jobs when I was in my 20s. Now I just do a strip of tape on the underside of the blade and a couple of horizontal strips (i.e., lengthwise) on either side 😂

I never used plugs. I'd go around the stick with tape to make a knob. Not too big of a knob of course.

wait, in the video you say you're right handed... but aren't you taping a left handed stick?
@oL5re9re55ion Жыл бұрын
Dominant hand on the top of the stick, so his right hand on top (left hand shot)
@XxPackerManxX Жыл бұрын
@@oL5re9re55ion Your dominate hand on top? I've never heard that in my life.😆 That's a left handed stick. Period
@Byroscapes Жыл бұрын

Why again do you black out the top of the blade?
@duddhawork Жыл бұрын
I'm sure it doesn't really make a difference but it is to see my blade better in my peripheral vision when I stick handle.

I get that argument too, white because of the ice. Most people I've watched so far tend to go black because the goalie can't see the puck. Probably black for now and keep researching. Thanks man.
