Learn how to use various interception-related functions of the Mirage 2000C, including the TAF GCI package, the Objective Designator, the radar's Low Frequency Pulse Repetition mode, the radar presentation modes, and the use of radar filters and gates.
This tutorial takes place on the Sinai map in DCS World.
Reiver uses the English variant of the Mirage 2000C cockpit, because he is an uneducated barbarian.
Reiver is not a hardcore milsim-er - he just likes playing the game well - if you're looking for something more authentic, please consult the flight manual.

Your videos are very good. You give just the perfect amount of information. And you talk not too fast. And you also have a very pleasant voice to listen to. Thanks for doing all this effort.

Thank you. Very kind of you. It is a lot of effort but it is all worthwhile to receive feedback like that.

Thank you very much for this series. It's done wonders to help me make sense of the decent, but strikingly incomplete training missions included with the module. I do have some minor requests if you're open to them. Timestamps would be wonderful bookmarks for reviewing specific topics. I also have my system volume about 50% higher than standard while watching these videos, so it would be nice if your vocal sound levels were bumped up. The in-game sounds might benefit from a tiny bump as well, but that's much more debatable in my opinion. This series is immensely appreciated regardless of my requests. It is by far the best lecture-style content on the Mirage 2000 in DCS that I've come across in over a week of research. I can't sufficiently emphasize the significance of that. Thank you.

Just found your vidoes. Excellent stuff. Sadly did not show up when I searched for Mirage 2000 toturials. Just showed up a I randomly watched another M2000 video.

More subscribes, bells, comments, and likes should correct the abhorrent omission of this elucidating sequence of eloquent instructionals 😄 Disclaimer: A thesaurus was indeed referenced during the writing of this comment.

These tutorials are amazing. I've been learning the Mirage and they've been a godsend. Great clear concise information, with examples. I think you've got the pace just right too - some tutorials can fly through the information too fast or make assumptions about what you know. This is at just the right level. Thank you for the time and effort you put into these! ED should bundle them with the module.

Thank you, that's very kind. I want to try to put out a quality product - I don't make "how-to" videos, I make videos for learning.

@reiver1-1 Definitely achieved that goal and more! I don't have the F1 yet, but when I pick it up your other series will be my first stop.

Loving the series so far. Is there plan to incorporate any combat guides to it or will it remain purely « hardware »? Also, pronouncing French words in French is a great touch but there is still a few things that can be done if having better French in your videos is a goal. First, try to cut sounds sharper, especially at the end of words. This might be hard to conceptualise and will be hard to realise but it really just is to imagine that a ball in your mouth just got removed and it can now make sharper movements. (When we learn English, we are taught to imagine a ball in our mouth impending our movements) Secondly, simply research the right prononciation beforehand. French is an inconsistent mess compared to English and a lot of times I hear prononciation that is grammatically correct if you look at the letters but incorrect if you actually say it. For example, the last letter of most words in French is silent and just there to ruin the he liaison with the next word, yet it is heard in your videos. I made this comment hoping to help if a better French is a goal of yours fell free to ask any questions. If it si not, feel free to ignore everything and carry on making great videos on the best module in the game.

I was never good at French! Did German at school. 🤣 I've considered doing a tactics video after all the 'hardware' tutorials are done.
