For someone who is mature with world of experience. I am glad I listened to it. However, would not recommend it to anyone without life experience. It could lead you down a rabbit hole or negativity. And you will question every single decision in your life to a point you will Die as an unhappy person. Has few good anecdotes to think about. But, most are one sided and can be easily counter argued.

@@sflchinita2010 I believe he says this because we all do these things and MOST of these are difficult to impossible to stop unless you really slow down and think about it. If you try to understand why you make every decision, you might go into analysis paralysis to eliminate every one of these bias's before you allow yourself to make a "clearly thought, thought" and this will drive you crazy. If you have some life experience, you will be more prepared to know WHEN to slow things down and make a clearer decision on important things and when good enough is fine for MOST of life's decisions. 6:51:25 chapter 90- overthinking

also: the book relies heavily on anecdotal evidence and social psychology/ behaviorial economy, a field which is often accused of sacrificing rigorous protocol for fun story telling ( Their empirical results are usually very hard to reproduce by others, casting doubts on their validity) The author even quotes Dan Ariely who was recently put on the spot for scientific fraud - he used falsified data to push his points. It does not mean that the book is worthless - just don't take it as scientific truth and keep a (very) critical eye on it.

When I started the book I already had read the Taleb's 3- books & the Kehneman's "Thinking, Fast & Slow" [ though not completely] so it was a great help me to understand very clearly the situations described in it. "The Art of Thinking Clearly" has highly readable, simple & short episodes that would definitely question back about our highly biased concept, attitudes, choices & selections in our day to day lives and then it would definitely improve the our way of thinking system for the good.

Yeah, buddy! I feel like the only reason this book got written was because he wanted to make money. There's no new material in this book. Only regurgitated ideas that a million other authors have written about in a million other books. Moreover, this author makes offensive generalizations about multiple groups of people.

🗝🙏🗝 The "bad guys" ARE NOT winning despite how it may look. Stay in Unity consciousness and manifest your vision of Heaven on Earth. Leave the old timeline.......consciously. 🙏 You have to stop waiting. God's abundance is yours the minute you can receive it. NESARA will backpay you for your money that was stolen. Everything will be made clear. I make it clear in my video on the topic. Awaken the sleeping giant within. Know that God has a perfect timeline for YOU, if you will but RECEIVE it. Those who profess enslavement see themselves as inslaved......and so they are. YOU are not enslaved, for that would be to enslave God. You and God are ONE, as you and me are in unity consciousness. Walk in your faith, not in your sight. ✌️

Just getting started, but the swimmers body illusion strikes me as demoralizing trash that subverts personal responsibility. It's one thing to account for self selected traits, say at the top of a skill or profession. But boiling happiness, low body fat, or success down to genetics or predetermined immutable factors outside of our control is what's fallacious here.

Refusing to acknowledge reality based facts in favor of feelings based beliefs is one of the main factors leading to the downfall of society. "You can be anything you want to be" is a brainwashing slogan and probably the biggest contributor to the false hope and toxic positivity that's eating at society like cancer. Swimmers body illusion is verifiable by physics. In fact, the physique which is entirely genetic, is the biggest contributor to what sport one will excel at. You won't find a tall lanky gymnast for the same reason you won't see a midget playing in the NBA. The shape of a racing row boat or sailing yacht is the primary factor determining it's speed (long and narrow) which is the exact reason you will never find a short stalky swimming champion or a 7 foot tall Olympic weight lifter.

After listening to swimmers body illusion, I come to the same perspective; somehow, the author completely fails to consider the brilliancy of ´trying and perfecting oneself´ at a certain task. Even genetics is not that prevalent every time, you can modify or change genetically transmitted disease patterns simply by changing certain practices etc.
